We come from a family that was raised on herbs, specifically medicinal herbs. My name is Martha Jones and I am from Colombia, South America. I had the blessing to have a wonderful Grandfather that loved to travel the world. In one of his multiple journeys he learned about "herbal" and medicinal teas... so, when he came back home, he got his herbal act together. It was around the 1960's when he sta
rted his company... He called it Tisana Jaibel. The name has a profound meaning to the family, but most of all, it represented what will define our future and the future of our kids. He chose special herbs and studied all the medicinal uses, and he also had his own plantations and processing facilities. Then, he started his own packaging company and drove the company to the No. 1 spot in the market. The healing "tisanas", touched all the members of the family, including our pets. My love for animals was given to me by my mom. We had almost every animal I could think off, including a Green Amazon, canaries, finches, rabbits, dogs, cats.... and the count goes on. Our birds always enjoyed the "herbal" mixtures and developed extraordinary health, breeding capabilities and parenting skills. My mom always said, "If God made something, it has a purpose, and it is up to us to discover it." The tea company is now part of a multi-national commercial firm, but the simplicity and legacy of the herbal healing properties of the plants and "weeds" is something that only my family will keep as a treasure and a gift to the world. So, with a new generation of entrepreneurs, Birdy-Weed takes its first baby steps, and we hope that we can contribute to the well being and happiness of your pets.
