A few days ago, we received a phone call from very worried pet parent. They had been referred by another clinic. This little man had a giant stone which filled his bladder to the point he could no longer urinate.
This was a dire and urgent situation. In addition, he has Addisons disease, which complicates things even further as far as anesthesia. But this sweet senior needed the stone removed as a matter of life or death.
There was no choice. We had him come right in and Surgery was performed immediately. Doc got the large stone from his bladder and flushed many more out . His bladder was also full of puss, affirming the urgency.
He went home happy and healthy today!

1. Neutered cats live longer, healthier lives, and are far less likely to fight other cats. FIV, FeLV, and other diseases are spread by cat bites sustained while fighting.

2. Neutered cats are less likely to spray. Smelly tomcat urine damages property and causes problems with neighbors and landlords.

3. Neutered cats are less likely to be trapped, dumped, or taken to a shelter. Being neutered advertises that someone cares and that they won’t be reproducing.

4. Neutered cats fight less often and less aggressively. This saves money on veterinary bills to treat abscesses and wounds.

5. Neutered cats stay closer to home. They are less likely to get lost, killed by predators, or hit by vehicles while roaming and searching for mates.

Twas the night before Christmas
when all thru the house

Not a creature was stirring
not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nick soon would be there.

The children all nestled snug in their beds
With no thought of the dog filling their head.

And mom in her kerchief and I in my cap
Knew the dog was cold, but didn’t care about that.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash
Figuring the dog was free of his chain and into the trash.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But Santa Claus with his eyes full of tears.

He unchained the dog once so lively and quick
Last year’s Christmas present now painfully sick.

More rapid than eagles he called the dog’s name
and the dog ran to him despite all his pain.

Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and V***n
On Comet on Cupid on Donner and Blitzen.

To the top of the porch to the top of the wall
Let’s find this dog a home where he will be loved by all.

I knew in an instant there would be no gifts this year
For Santa had made one thing quite clear.

The gift of a dog is not just for the season
We had gotten the dog for all the wrong reasons.

In our haste to think of the kids a gift
There was one important thing we missed

A dog should be family, and cared for the same
You don’t give a gift, then put it on a chain.

And I heard him explain as he rode out of site,
“You weren’t given a gift, you were given a life.” 💜

Not our baby but helping a dear friend to find a home for this little doll

Little Timmy was found living in the bushes in West Boca. He was all alone, no mom anywhere. A kind neighbor took him in. He was in need of medical attention and almost died. He is now 12 weeks old and fully recovered. Timmy is very sweet and very playful. He is starting to play with other cats and dogs so gets along with everybody. Please help him find the best forever home he deserves! “

Today we welcomed this super sweet 13 year old senior !! His name is Bentley and he was surrendered to our local shelter!! We couldn’t imagine him spending Christmas with a broken heart there..we said yes..and now he’s here relaxing and making new friends ❤️🐾❤️ seniors rule ❤️🐾❤️

Today we welcomed this pair.
Their mom passed tragically Sunday evening and were in the home alone since. 🐾💔💕

Casey , the lighter boy is at least 14, unaltered (for now) Papachulo appears older with limited vision and a skin condition.

We will attend to their medical right away and hopefully find them an amazing home very soon! 🐾💕
