Meet Aspen!
On April 7th Aspen suffered a Fibrocartilaginous Embolism. This is a rare type of spinal cord injury that occurs when material from the vertebral disc enters the vascular system and blocks a spinal cord vessel. This sudden blockage of blood supply to the spinal cord caused him to loose function of his hind end. Aspen was simply running around the yard when this occurred.
Luckily his owners were on top of his care! They immediately got him to the vet and began rehab which includes range of motion exercises, compressions and MagnaWave💙!
We’ve MagnaWaved Aspen almost weekly since his injury. The MagnaWave💙 has been working to increase blood flow, relieve muscle tension, decrease inflammation, and re-oxygenate Aspen’s cells. This has helped to accelerate the healing process!
The second clips were taken on June 6th and June 9th. Almost 2 months after Aspen’s injury. He is doing amazing! His recovery is not over but he’s walking on his own and is gaining so much independence!
