Huge thanks to all of you for your help and concern with Guinness. As you can see--he is responding well to all of his medications--he is energetic and loving! His ears are about healed. He has 2 weeks left to complete his treatment for tick fever. He loves for me to brush him! We are so happy to share this update. :)

First of all--huge thanks to everyone that has donated. The fundraiser hasn't ended and we would be grateful for anything you can send our way. We also accept checks in case that works better. Now for the updates I promised all of you. Guinness is doing well and we have taken him back to the rescue kennel. Dr. Chattin told us that Guinness's injuries were more consistent with a dog attack. That is so sad! Sweet Guinness--how terrifying. He is limping on his left front leg-but no fractures--it's being managed by rest and pain medications. He is taking antibiotics and dewormer, too. That odd pattern on his coat isn't mange or a skin disorder--it's hair from his winter coat and underneath--he is sleek and soft. Many happier days ahead for this sweet Lurcher! Stay tuned.

And I have more news! Ron and Cindy decided to adopt Max. We are so thrilled and happy. They live in Plainview and have had lots of experience rescuing Vizslas. Their experience and compassion was obvious today as they helped Bryan and I walk the dogs. Wow!! I am so happy and excited to share this news!!

Today went greyt! Dr.Sutherland and Jarred did checkups at the rescue kennel today. Cotton needs a tooth pulled and Anna Suzanna was brave quickly figuring out how to do their stairs. That mobile unit from Live Oak Animal Hospital is fabulous. Teddy and Mustang had checkups too. Fantastic! 😀

Oh wow--what a day. Shannon was relinquished by a gentleman from the Lynn County area. He had had her for 3 weeks and determined she wasn't a bit interested in chasing game and was hopeful that our group could find a home for her. He met me at Live Oak Clinic on 98th Street. Okay! This morning Shannon got a clean bill of health from Dr. Cunningham at Live Oak Animal Hospital. Hooray! She is a very observant dog and in the first pic where she was most likely enjoying her very first car-ride--she was acting concerned as I was zooming along and having happy thoughts over how sweet and fun she is--so friendly and outgoing. Wow! Finally, she said to me--"Linda, there's a black and white car with flashing lights behind us--maybe you should pull-over." Yikes! Going 55 in a 45. Double yikes! But, good news--Shannon was so charming, I got off with a warning ticket. Hooray!! Stay tuned as we determine more about Shannon and search for the perfect home for her. :)
