Thanksgiving week will feature two systems. The first (Mon night/Tues)looks wet not white. The second one is Thursday night into Friday morning and looks like a pretty good storm. Someone in NE will get a foot. Also definitely consider your driving plans carefully, could be some tough sledding. Will keep watch.

Cross Arctic flow will drain cold pools forming over Alaska and northern Canada + Greenland.

Weather/drought update: 1.5 inches in the rain guage! Some snow on radar,likely up high. Chance again Sunday for backside snow as systems exit. Again snow line is 2500’ and up.

How about black and white for a change?
Lilly led the chase around the yard today. Maybe 20 full times and as fast as lightening ⚡️For Lilly it’s easy. She’s the only one not panting. Shortly after this picture they started up again. So much fun!

Weather update: “Hydrologically beneficial” storm is inbound. NWS has rain/snow line staying at 2500’. Meaning most will get rain, we truly need that inch and a half of rain. Might see back side flurries this weekend.

Well we may finally be getting a drought buster Thursday and the weekend. I know everyone wants to see snow (me included) and there will be some at the higher elevations (Killington peak at 4k might see 6”) but the snow line is projected to be above 2500 feet and there will be wintery mix and rain likely below that. Total liquid for us looks like 1.6” currently and all of that is much needed. It’s a pretty complicated storm and there’s a lot of divergence on the models so we will keep an eye on it.

Some rumors of storms floating around today regarding Thanksgiving week in NE. No model agreement in this timeframe as of today so going to hold off. This weekend we are supposed. To get some much needed liquid (1”), could be some wet snow in the higher elevations. Fire hose of precip on the west coast, particularly N.Cal. Big snows likely in the Mtns.

Weather update: The trend on potential Gulf/Florida storm is good at the moment. Her turn into Honduras and the Yucatán will likely weaken the system significantly. Hurricane season needs to go away, we want to focus on snow season lol. Not much on the horizon snow wise at the moment though, it’s currently good “ham curing” weather.

The system we have been watching (19L) may get tangled up on land(Honduras) and weaken. There is still likely going to be a storm hitting FL coast next week but weaker than earlier models had it. GFS and Eur morning runs currently have a Cat 1 or 2. Keeping an eye on it.

Strong hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico by early next week. Cat 4/5 with a likely Florida track. This is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill.
