My hands are full and busy! Text is preferred. If you are not the kid's school or a customer who's dog is already here or should be on the way here, please wait one for a response. Calling 17 times in a row will not make me answer the phone any sooner and, in fact, guarantees that you will not get an appointment. Calm energy folks. Calm it down.

When trying to reach your groomer, calling or texting is the most efficient way to get in touch. However, pet owners are sometimes so worried with getting in touch that their calls can become a problem. Not only can it simply be annoying, but it can be a distraction as well.
When working with sharp objects and live animals, distractions are the last thing you want happening. Distractions can mean that the groomer and/or the pet could be injured. Here are a few rules of etiquette when calling on a professional groomer.

1. Safety. First and foremost your groomer needs to be fully focused to be sure your pet nor themselves end up with injuries. There is no reason to leave multiple messages. Some busy salons may take up to 48 hours to get back to you. If after 48 hours no one has returned your message, reach out again.

2. Please leave a message. Repeatedly hanging up and calling back will get you nowhere and could be a major distraction.

3. Be sure to leave complete information and speak clearly and slowly. Many messages do not get returned because of lack of information or because your message could not be understood.

Professional groomers are more than happy to return calls at the appropriate time, so don't panic if you have to use patience. Good things come to those who wait!

She has pretty anime eyes with a little glass chip. 🩷 She has successfully completed her first pro groom since she was a pup and she didn't do half bad, I'm only bleeding in two spots. She's not bleeding in any spots, so that's a win.

Cute dude from K9 Battle Buddies. Sharing because its a great example of how a coat can visually look not that bad on top and be pelted at the skin. This leads to owners being surprised that their pup has to be clipped naked. I'm going to assume this guy will be up for adoption 😉.

Did you know that there are no accepted breed sizes classified smaller than the Toy size? Why? Because dogs smaller than Toy generally tend to be more prone to health issues than their properly sized counterparts. Creating a walking vet bill and a pup who must deal with painful issues it's entire life. Beware breeders who advertise "teacup" size of any breed, they are not reputable breeders. Reputable breeders work to maintain breed standard, health and temperament, or to enhance a breed of dog, not to gain your money with cuteness at the cost of an animal's health and comfort.
