Meet Hudson and Leona.

They're the newest K9's in local law enforcement.

K9 Hudson was donated to the Cayce Police Department and K9 Leona was donated to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

The Cayce Police Department conducted a fundraiser in April to expand their K9 program. Jim Hudson of Jim Hudson Automotive Group made a very generous donation and that's why the K9 is named after the philanthropist.

The characteristics and attitudes of these dogs are designed to help reduce the fear of law enforcement and fear in a crisis or traumatic event.

They'll provide a new level of emotional support for officers, students and teachers, and communities.
