**Don’t you just love firsts?**
Like a baby's first step or their first smile—those precious moments that make your heart swell. Well, I cherish those firsts too, especially with my puppies. One of my favorite firsts is seeing which pup will be brave enough to venture out the doggie door on their own.

Today was a big day for Brandi! She was the first to muster up the courage to step through the doggie door all by herself. There I was, the only one outside, and she decided it was time to explore the world beyond. Such a brave little girl!

You may know Sasha, my sweet black and white toy Australian Shepherd. She was the last pup to be chosen, passed over because her eyes aren't blue and she doesn't quite look like a traditional toy Aussie. I looked for a home for her until last week, at 4 months, when everything changed.

Sasha hurt her eye being her rambunctious self, and suddenly, she needed constant supervision and treatment every 4 hours. Through this, I saw just how special this little beast is. She's smart, loving, loyal, obedient, and absolutely adorable.

She's found her forever home right here with me and her bff, puppy sitter, Diana L.
