🚨 URGENT: 14 Dogs at Risk 🚨
This is never easy to share.

Fourteen dogs are facing a deadline of April 28th by 5 PM and urgently need adopters, fosters, or rescues to step up.These are good dogs who simply need a chance. They are out of time because more dogs are coming in than going out, and our shelter is over capacity.

We’ve been incredibly grateful to see our community step up time and time again. You’ve saved so many lives already. But we need your help again. These 14 dogs need someone—anyone—to give them a second chance.

Here’s how you can help TODAY:
📍 San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter
🐾 Adopt – Give them a chance at life. There is no appointment needed! Swing by during adoption hours - Monday, Friday, and Sunday 12-5 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 12-7 PM.
💙Foster – We desperately need long term fosters to help get pets out of the shelter. To get started, fill out your foster application here: https://sanmarcostx.gov/2885/Become-a-Foster

Oh Piper, if sunshine and good times could be encompassed in a dog, you would be that dog. This beautiful girl has been with Luling Animal Welfare Society for too long. She’s been incredibly successful in play groups with other dog friends as well as made herself right at home in her foster homes! She is a very cuddly girl who loves to be with you or playing with her dog besties.

Piper is up to date on all vaccines and spayed and is ready to cuddle her way into your heart!

Kitten season is here and we have received 3 calls today from City of Gonzales residents about stray kittens and/or cat adoptions. If you have found a stray cat or kittens, please be sure to call Animal Control personnel at 830-672-8686.

If you need local resources for found cats please contact Dena with Gonzales Paws and Whiskers at 830-263-0066 or Friends of Gonzales Animal Shelter at 830-857-1616.

The cat shelter is now only open on the weekends. We apologize for those who have waited outside for the doors to open. Go follow Gonzales Paws and Whiskers to stay up-to-date on shelter hours. Also follow Friends of Gonzales Animal Shelter who is the rescue that supports the cat shelter.

We no longer service the City of Gonzales territory. There are plenty of resources available to local residents. Please contact the numbers above and follow the local shelter and rescue group.

Beautiful Miss Molly is looking for her forever people. She has been with us for 6 days now and how lucky are we to know and love her. This gorgeous girl is such a cuddle bug, very easy going and her ideal day is a short walk, lots of yummy snacks and some solid couch time with some pets in between. She is very low maintenance and is ready to blend right into your low key life. Molly would do best with a very low key dog such as herself.

Molly is up to date on all vaccines, fixed and heartworm negative!

Does anyone recognize this beautiful German Shepherd? Found on Sea Willow road in Lockhart.
He found his way into a fenced yard and doesn't want to leave! They cannot keep him.
Anyone able to foster him? Please contact me at my shop at 830-351-7031.
