Aurora is a 8 month old pitbull puppy that will be ready to go towards the end of this week. She just was spayed. She is fairly active and would love daily walks or hikes. She is great in the car as well as with other dogs and cats. She does puppy jumping and this is why we are looking to place her in a home with kids over 12 years of age. Check out Willow!!! She is a 5 year old mastiff mix. Very sweet and loves people. She is not great with cats but ok with most bigger dogs. She has no experience with children so we will not place her in a home with children under 12 years. She would love a person soon as she doesn't like being in the shelter! Ray is still with us!!! 1 yr old Chocolate lab mix. He is doing so good with his training but still needs someone who can continue his obedience training. Ray is very energetic, loves to go for walks, great running partner. He would be best suited as the only pet and bigger kids due to his high activity level. His biggest downfall is he jumps up on people. We will be willing to reduce his adoption fee so he can get into a home. Happy New Year! We have reached a number of intakes I never thought was possible without transporting in. 100 dogs and 140 cats. We couldn’t have done this without our amazing Staff, Volunteers, Veterinarians and their staff and last but not least all of you that continue to support us.

This year we would like to gather our supporters together, raising money for our new Wellness & Training Center. With the closing of so many veterinary clinics in the area, people are struggling to find vet care for their pets. We are looking to help ease that burden by adding a Wellness Center! This would be a lower cost option for those everyday veterinary procedures like vaccinations, broken nails, ear or skin infections as well as increasing our spay and neuter program to help those struggling to find a place to have this procedure done. Riverside Rescue has made a commitment that all financial donations from #GivingTuesday will go directly into the Wellness & Training Facility Fund! Let's rally together to get this project up in 2025! Our community members are counting on this, our community pets are in desperate need of this!

Luna has been scheduled for surgery for Gingival Hyperplasia, an overgrowth of her Gums in mid October. The cost of this Surgery is $800 with bloodwork. She is living between the Shelter and Sharon’s house until she recovers.

I've been working really hard to get the dogs to sit and not bark and be crazy when people go visit them. OK well they did go crazy on ripping the toys today hahaha!
