I need help, I'm at my wits end. I am tired and have tried everything to be copacetic. For those of you that don't know me, Hi my name is Kera. I own Nannys educational zoo and rescue in Lutz. I have tried really hard to keep all the drama off of social media but unfortunately I have come to a point where, I don't know what to do. The pandemic hit us pretty hard, as it did all of us. We did not have any visitors coming in, so no donations. We had to go back to work full time so instead of making it a petting zoo anymore we just went to full time animal rescue. Fast forward November 2021. We were hit pretty hard in the face by the church next door when we found out we did not have 3 acres, we actually only had 2.2. Unfortunately, they are not a church for the community . They were just as shocked as us to find out the property line was where it was. I HAVE PAID TAXES ON 3 ACRES FOR 6 YEARS, only to find out I have 2.2 and they, The church called code because you're only allowed 3 grazing animal per acre in pasco and they knew(because I told them because like I said I was try to be copacetic). They called code because we didn't move a blind deer that has been in pen for 6 years fast enough for them, even though I agreed that the pen was encroaching. I just had to do things the RIGHT way. To keep a wildlife, each animal has cage regulations, size, wire thickness, etc. Also, finding a fencing company to help was a nightmare. I called 50, no joke. Well we moved blind deer pen(1000$ later) and are trying to live catch all the rabbits because A wonderful boy scout built the rabbit pin for his eagle project and it was such a well built pen that we allowed the rabbits to burrow down 3' and it's all enclosed in wire metal, and because of that I can't catch all of the rabbits when they're inside of the burrows so I have to set out live traps. I can only set catch 2 at a time there is 40 rabbits. The bully church next door is trying to get even our animal rescue shut down.. I just don't get it anymore, no one cares about the animals, all the buildings going up, all the new homes, the publix on the corner of county line and Livingston, Cypress creek church on collier and Livingston. They removed so much land from these animals where are they supposed to go? I am trying so hard for these animals and I feel like the Lorax. Photos are of before and currently. And email taunting us. I just don't know what else to do. We lost .8 acres with nothing but harassment and negativity from a church. We have complied with everything except for moving the rabbit enclosure I even had to rehome of 3 of my goats, and we are 1 potbelly pig away from code. This is what we've been going through and this is why we have been absent on social media ,and also unable to allow people to enjoy the animals as they deserve.
