I was born on the back of a horse. I took from 2002 to 2010 off but fate brought me back to it. I’m thankful for that every day.

Riding horses is in the blood. It is a passion we are born with. No one can really understand this passion but other horse people. Even when life events temporarily take us away from riding, the passion is still there. And, when we can, we will get back in with horses again. Im not sure who this little girl is in the photo, but she lives inside all of us. The love of a large animal... the power we feel under the saddle, the wind in our hair, the adventure in our spirit! This passion is a gift from God.

When your heart has to go back to its roots. Our Antonia always tucked her jeans in her boots. So today I left mine tucked in. 13 years is not a long time, but for our family it’s a chapter. 💙💜💙💜

Same hat, 23 years apart. My mum brought it back for me from Texas probably 25+ years ago, I don’t remember exactly the year. Either way, maybe someday it will see a show ring again! But a fun memory, either way!

P.S. Same belt buckle 24 years apart. That was a Christmas gift in 2000 after winning reserve state championship for MIHA. I will also win another one of those same day!

It has been an incredible trip south! Some pony love; sister love; kitty love; friends and family. It’s all good for the soul! And a bit of fire department time. I miss this place and the people! But I’ll be back soon. I promise!!!!

22 years ago. I was teching Nutcracker. It was a Wednesday. It was the afternoon. That day I said one last goodbye to one that took up more space in my heart than any other. She was my heart horse. And she was truly special.
