In the two days of the BIG GIVE, you gave big indeed: $2125, and with the $250 match added in, that's $2375!

TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS in TWO days!

We're celebrating here with sparkling beverages and binkies galore.

Finding adequate words to express our thanks is *tough*: we think the best way we can thank you is to keep doing what we do for the buns and SHOW you what your support is making possible.

We were hoping the BIG GIVE event would generate $250 so we could get our $250 match from the group of friends who offered $500 is nothing to sneeze at!

But you bodacious bunch of bunny lovers couldn't leave well enough alone, could you? No, you could not!

The BIG GIVE continues through today, May 8th, but we gotta say, you all have already blown us away:

Between when we posted yesterday evening that no one had donated and eight o'clock this morning ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS came in!

Way to go, Team Lagomorph! That's enough to cover at least 8 alter surgeries, helping to get that many more deserving buns ready for loving forever homes! Plus, the $250 donation match is still on the table, so there's another one, too.

It truly does take a village, and we feel blessed to have such terrific supporters on our side.

We have just through May 8th – tomorrow – to meet our $250 match goal for the BIG GIVE...and *no one* has donated yet to help the bunnies.

If we get $250 in donations by tomorrow night it'll be matched to become $500!

That's enough for two more spays so two more rescue rabbits can be adopted into forever homes. Please help make it happen for the rabbits who are patiently waiting their turn. Whatever you can give will be DOUBLED.

Some terrific friends of Bunanza got the idea to combine forces and have pledged to match all donations, dollar for dollar, made to Bunanza on May 7th & 8th, up to $250.

❤️ FEATURED ADOPTABLES – Pure chocolatey goodness!

Sprite was born at Bunanza (mama came in pregnant) so he's been kissed and cuddled since the day he was born. You will not meet a more socialized bun!

He's almost 9 months old, neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, and cool with cats. He has milk chocolate brown eyes that perfectly complete his shades-of-chocolate coat.

Fun fact: Sprite was the runt! Much small than his brothers and sisters, he was continually shoved away from the breakfast bar. A dedicated Volunteer made sure he got consistent time alone with mom so he could get the nutrition he needed to catch up.

Runt no more, Sprite's just right at around 4 lbs. He loves head rubs and attention of all kinds, gets dozy while being rocked, and will even contentedly sit on laps.

It's been a mix of rain and sun here, but most days the bunnos have been able to get out for some romp time. Yay!

📣 CALLING ALL BUNNY LOVERS! – Opportunity awaits you

We are currently looking for several new Volunteers to help out with the rescue rabbits on a weekly basis!

Bunanza has 2 shifts per day, a Primary and a Secondary. Shifts are generally just two hours or less.

PRIMARY – Performs essential daily responsibilities: changing litter boxes, refilling hay, spot cleaning or deep cleaning kennels as needed, rinsing and refilling water bowls, feeding the rabbits, taking them out for exercise as weather and ability permit, and spending time socializing with and enjoying the bunnies. It takes around two hours, but it's faster and more fun with two or even three!

SECONDARY – Checks to make sure all the bunnies are happy and healthy, tops off water dishes and hay as needed, socializes with bunnies, takes them out for exercise (weather permitting and if able), sometimes passes out treats, toys or veggies, plus occasional special projects. Time ranges from half an hour to two hours; this one is good for families.

We accept volunteers of all experience levels and nearly all ages! Just bring your love of bunnies and we'll train you up.

❤️ FEATURED ADOPTABLE – Well, hello there!

This is Iceberg, a 6 month old neutered Vienna. Check the pure white coat, the shining blue eyes, and his petite stature (just a couple of pounds and not going to get any bigger). A perfect little bun-person!

Iceberg, his sisters and parents were all abandoned, so it's taken some effort to convince him that not all people are untrustworthy.

He was very shy when he arrived, but he's learned to appreciate a good snuggle and has become a pretty happy boy. And, as you can see from the photo, he also loves exploring – and eating – new toys.

Would you like to meet this brave, gorgeous guy and potentially give him the loving home he deserves? Message us to make it happen!

😲 HEY! WHERE YA BEEN, BUNANZA? – Well, you see...

A little over a month ago when Facebook had a huge crash about a million accounts got locked out, including ours.

Rest assured, since you last heard from us we've continued getting rescue rabbits vaccinated, altered and adopted – plus a few new projects – we just haven't been able to get the word out.

We're *still* having access problems but have at least finally figured out a workaround so we can finally post.

But we can't share in any way, so we need ALL of our bunfriends to share this and future posts to get attention for the rabbits in our care.

Pretty please, for the bunnies, share on your own page, in rabbit and neighborhood groups, anywhere and everywhere that feels appropriate. You can even share the same post to multiple places in the same day without Facebook getting fussed at you.

Thank you for supporting us and helping the rescue rabbits! It means the world to us.

We've had a couple of hours here and there nice enough to get at least the larger buns – who can handle lower temperatures than the smaller ones – a little time outside, but mostly the weather continues to alternate between rain and snow and wind, all of it COLD!

Chanel (left) is elegant and sophisticated in her sleek, chic black. Coco (right) is more of a fashion don't with his mismatched ears, a few half-there stripes, and those bucktooth mouth markings.

Coco and Chanel found themselves here when their people's circumstances changed and they could no longer care for them.

Both are altered and both are absolute delights. They're very excited about people and love interacting.

They live for treats, like all ages and types of people and are are cool with cats. This muttbunny duo are perfect family pets!

❤️ FEATURED ADOPTABLES – Looking for some BIG buns?

Our February bonded pair promo continues: two fab buns, just one adoption fee! This time we'd like you to meet brother-sister besties Junior (left) and Poppy (right).

They're a mix of Flemish Giant, Beveren and New Zealand and they are BIG. Junior weighs in around 15 pounds and Poppy is a svelte 12 pounds.

Originally rescued from a meat breeder, these two friendly loves are used to the house rabbit life now and are eager to get back to it.

Junior's eyes are lavender while Poppy's are navy blue. Both are about a year and a half and are altered. Poppy is the more outgoing of the two and will start booping and chinning you pretty quickly. Junior takes a few more minutes to warm up but follows Poppy's lead and comes around.

Both are playful, curious and love outdoor time. Big bunny binkies are the best!
