NGSPA SHOOTING DOG INVITATIONALS
DEE named OSD Invitational Champion
Robbi named ASD Invitational Champion

Every year, the first week of December marks the renewal of the Open and the Amateur Shooting Dog Invitational Championships. These Championships are the top 12 German Shorthair Pointers competing for 1 hour each day for 3 days. The event is held on the marvelous Larry & Linda Smith Farms outside Gentry, Missouri.
We were fortunate to have 2 entries in the OSD. After 3 days of competing, the judges, Tom Griffin and Mick Cheshire, selected STONEY HILL'S PINNACLE DEE as the Champion. Dee separated herself from the competition with 3 superb days and had an incredible Day 3 run to distance herself from the call back dogs. Dee becomes just the second dog to ever win both the ASDI (2022) and the OSDI.

Following a day off for dogs and handlers to re-energize, the Amateur Shooting Dog Invitational began on Friday. Team Lonestar had 4 entries invited to participate !!! Our crew of Robbi, Dee, Blue and Allie all had extremely nice runs on Days 1 and 2. Robbi and Dee were almost flawless and were selected by the judges to compete again on Day 3. Day 3 Brace 1 had Robbi running against last year's Champion and 2X NASDCH Madison with Brandon Blum. It was a run to never forget as we watched 2 of the all time winningest GSP females do battle. When the judges called time at 60 minutes, we had to ride hard to the front to find Robbi, as she had disappeared with 6 minutes remaining. As our horses raced to locate her, the thought of losing her caused blood pressure to rise. After several minutes she was found several hundred yards to the front. With her performance, the judges Steve Auxier and Ray Larrondo canceled Brace 2 as they had found their Champion. As the announcement came, they had selected
UODIBAR'S ROBBI JO as the ASDI CHAMPION !!! With this is another Invitational milestone, Kirk becomes the first handler to direct the Open and Amateur

Champions in the same year!!!
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEK !!! Lonestar Kennel and Horse Company is in Cheyenne, Wyoming to start the fall field trial season. The NGSPA Hungarian Partridge Championship is underway and the Amateur All-Age is in the books. Under the watchful eyes of judges Peter Coppens and Colin Kennedy,
Team Lonestar secured the Championship win with a stellar, 3 find performance from
NAC CH Twin Creeks Running "Rocky." Handled by Kirk and scouted by Sherri, he had a true all age race and was found standing after long absences each time with excellent style and supreme manners.
We truly appreciate all those who have supported us.

This Handsome Sorrel Gelding will be turning 5 in October. He stands 15.3 + Hands and is Registered TWHBEA. If you are looking for a quiet and calm Trail or Field Trial Horse….. This might be the one! This guy is easy to catch in the pasture...easily loads and unloads from the trailer. He will be with us at the HUN CHAMPIONSHIP in Cheyenne, Wyoming this week.

He just got back from Summer Training Camp in South Dakota where we used him for both handling and scouting. We will be taking him to Cheyenne, Wyoming this weekend for the HUN CHAMPIONSHIP.
