What a morning so far! After finishing my morning coffee I went to the back to check in on our animals and make rounds. I found Ebony’s hutch filled with lots fur and found eight little baby bunnies🐰🐰We immediately pulled Momma and babies to a more private area for everyone to settle in🫶🏻💖

Happy Friday! I was able to get home in time to see our little bunnies awake and Ginger nursing them while fueling up on some hay. Also, our girls laid 7 more eggs this afternoon. We should be having some eggs hatch in the nest 24-48 hours 🐣🐣

Look how beautiful these eggs are 😍😍 Our Coturnix quails with the celadon gene have started laying eggs 🥚 (don’t mind my broken nails! I’ve decided to take a break from getting my nails done and focus more on homesteading)

Hope y’all are having a great day! I forgot to post this earlier. I candled our eggs earlier this morning and we got 47 viable eggs out of 48🙌🏻🎊🥳Our girls are doing an amazing job!!! Only 10 more days till they hatch 👏🏻 This batch will consist of Pharaoh, Egyptian, Italian, Rosetta/Scarlett Tuxedos, jumbo whites and Schofield silvers.

We walked into a little surprise this afternoon. Ginger had her first litter and is now a mommy. So far we have three babies, hoping for more. Double-Tap is now a daddy. We are up to 12 Coturnix quail eggs so far today🥚🥚A good day Indeed.

Good morning ☀️ We hope everyone has a beautiful day! Our final count is 35 baby quail eggs that hatched. 73% hatch rate!One of the many hard things to do, is keeping baby quail alive the first couple weeks💆🏻‍♀️

So far we have 31 baby quails. We’re giving the other eggs an extra day or two to hatch ( we have seen some of them shake, maybe late bloomers)

If you listen very closely… You can hear some chirping and worship music🎶You can see the little egg move around. I was just about to head out to do some errands but I think I’m going to wait. I don’t want to miss this. With our last incubation, the babies decided to hatch when no one was home 🤦🏻‍♀️

We had a staff meeting early this morning in regards to our quails production and expectations. Our girls are on a roll today. They laid 3 eggs this morning, usually we only get one from Skully & the girls. Came home to seven more eggs and the day is still young. They understood the assignment 👏🏻💯🙏🏻
