Welcome to Dr. Dan’s Ark, In-Home Companion Animal Euthanasia.
Choosing euthanasia is one of the hardest, yet kindest, things we have to do as pet owners. Dr. Dan is here with a kind and compassionate heart to help make the process as humane and gentle as possible.
When arriving at your home you should expect the following:
* Brief explanation of procedure, signature of consent form and exchange of payment.
*You will then be given time with your pet to say goodbye. Dr. Dan will not begin the procedure until you are ready.
* A sedation injection will be given and your pet will drift off to a peaceful sleep.
* At this time, Dr. Dan will place a small catheter to administer the euthanasia solution. Sometimes clippers are used to shave an area so the vein is visible. The solution is then administered and your companion will go to their final rest. Dr. Dan will also use a stethoscope to ensure the procedure is complete.
Please be aware that Dr. Dan DOES NOT remove the remains. There are creamation services available at some local
funeral homes and veterinary offices, or you may choose to bury your pet at a place of your choosing.
Dr. Dan is currently serving Lake, Ashtabula, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Below, are a list of fees:
Lake County: $300
Ashtabula County: $300
Geauga County: $350
Cuyahoga County: $350
Evenings/Weekends/
Aggressive Animal: +$100
