πŸŽ† As you gear up for the holiday weekend, it's important to remember that your four-legged family members might not share the same excitement. Keeping your dog safe and calm during noisy celebrations is a top priority for pet parents.

We've curated top tips for keeping your dog safe and calm during firework celebrations:

🐢 Create a safe spot: Set up a quiet, comfortable space in your home where your dog can retreat. Include their favorite toys and blankets. Use white noise or calming music to help drown out the sound of fireworks.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Exercise early: Take your dog for a long walk or play session earlier in the day - before sunset to avoid any loud noises. A tired dog is more likely to remain calm during evening firework festivities.

🏠 Keep them indoors: Ensure your dog stays inside during fireworks shows. Close windows and curtains to minimize noise and flashes of light that may startle them

🧸 Extra comfort: Offer extra comfort and pets to your dog if they appear to be afraid. Stay calm yourself and use soothing tones when speaking to them.

βœ… Wear proper ID: In the unfortunate chance that your dog gets away from home, make sure your dog is wearing their collar before the fireworks begin and that the tags are up to date with your contact information.

Every dog is different. You may need to use one or a variety of these methods to find what works best for you and your pet. And if your dog experiences sever anxiety, don't forget to talk to your vet! πŸ’›
