Learning positions with your dog builds engagement and a ton of focus. Teach your dog that it’s fun to engage with you and watch the amazing things you accomplish. This also builds your own communication to a greater level. This is done through a process called luring which is teaching your dog how to follow your hand.

🐶 Did you know that keeping your dog mentally engaged and focused can work wonders for their overall well-being? Engaging activities like training sessions, puzzle toys, and interactive play not only improve their behavior but also strengthen your bond. 🌟 Plus, a mentally stimulated dog is a happy and tired dog, which means fewer destructive behaviors at home.

Obie learning impulse control and further more that he can’t make his own decisions. He has to wait until the handler gives the next direction.

Baikal learning on the prong collar to gain solid leash skills. He came to us having some leash reactivity towards some dogs and needing to focus more. When you gain control on the leash this really sets you up for greater focus and success with leash reactivity.

Here I’m working on lady and dozer’s jumping issue. They are learning to hold their place even if food involved which is one of their highest motivations. They are learning that they also cannot rush the doorway to jump on whoever is coming in.

It’s important for any dog to work on impulse control. This teaches the dog to control his own body and desires. Koby had real trouble with just reacting without thinking because he lacked self control. When we do exercises like this we are making him think while teaching him how to control his body.

Junior can be very difficult to work with due to his attitude of I do what I want. He has came so far along from that mindset and we are proud of his mindset. Here junior is learning the pressure on and pressure off technique.

Regular luring into the sit command is super hard for Bernie and he often times checks out or shuts down. We have to think outside of the box to accomplish our goals for the puppy. Listen to this great training hack and try this out of you have the same issues.

Here Koby is displaying his very aggressive behavior by trying to bite me repeatedly. He has already bitten someone before and he doesn’t hesitate to do that. In the video you can see where he is straight up challenging me. He is use to acting in aggression and seeing everyone flee. What happens when someone stand their ground?.. Well take a look at the video. @highlight

Marley’s Owner putting in some work. Marley’s board and train program has been finished for about two weeks. We are now doing refresher lessons to keep his training on point.

Hank is a super powerful puller on the leash. If you guys watched the previous video then you know what I mean. Here he is learning the pressure on and pressure off technique with the prong collar. A dog who pulls on the leash is a great danger to his owner. An owner can easily get injured because of this bad behavior. This is the starting process to get Hank walking better.

Winton update he is doing great and has learned so much already. Going from knowing nothing at all, to the come command along with sit, down, spin and holding his sits and downs. So proud of how far Winton has come. He literally wouldn’t even follow my hand with a treat when we first started. Amazing progress with Winton who wouldn’t even come to me even with treats. #ahowlinggoodtime #madisondaytrainprogram #dogownereducation #dogsofmadison #Madisondogtraining #littledogsofinstagram #smalldogsofinstagram @topfans@followers
🔥👀💪. Winton update. He is doing great. If you have been following him then you know that he wouldn’t even follow your hand or even take treats from your hand. If you put your hand down to give him a treat, he would just back way up and would never come in to you. Now he is following the hand which is luring fantastically. He came to us knowing nothing. We are building him from the ground up. He even learned the sit and down command. #madisondaytrainprogram #dogownereducation #dogsofmadison #dogsofmadison #Madisondogtraining #ahowlinggoodtime #leadershiptraining @topfans@followers #littledogsrock #littledogsofinstagram
Asha learning the out command with her favorite toy in the world a ball. Many people get hurt unintentionally because their dog doesn’t understand the out command. When they go to get the ball the dog quickly tries to bite ball in an effort to keep the ball or toy away from their owner. In the process of this happening the dog bites the owner. Other times a dog will try to control and possess the ball. This is when your dog will also growl at you or try to intentionally bite you to keep the toy from you. The out command builds a healthy state of mind for your dog and alleviates issues. #madisondaytrainprogram #dogownereducation #dogsofmadison #Madisondogtraining #rottiepuppy #rottielife #rottie #outcommand #leadershiptraining #ahowlinggoodtime @followers @topfans

Hey folks hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July with family, friends, fireworks and cookouts. The correct approach to exposure is super important when it comes to sounds, people, different environments, fireworks and so much more. This makes the difference if your dog will be freaked out by these kinds of things or not. Ideally we don’t want our dogs super afraid of these things. This means less freedoms. Your dog should be confident around these things so that they can enjoy life and share space with you as the owner. Don’t wait to give your dog exposure please don’t. If you don’t know how to do it then reach out to a professional dog trainer. #fireworks #4thofJuly #4thofjuly2024 #dogs #GreatDogTrainer #Madisondogtraining #dogsofmadison #madisondogtrainer #pitbulls #americanbullydog #exposure #socializationskills #dogtrainingtips #dogtrainingadvice @topfans @followers #ahowlinggoodtime
