Holiday festivities can overwhelm a dog's senses with sights, sounds, and smells, causing sensory overload.

Here are some tips to help your dog:
--Create a safe space: Set aside a quiet, scent-free area where your dog can retreat when they're overstimulated.
--Reduce stimuli: Limit your dog's exposure to stimuli.
--Provide mental stimulation: Exercise and mental stimulation can help.
Help your dog settle in: New experiences and changes can be stressful for dogs. Try to help them feel secure by keeping some consistency.
Keep your dog on a leash: If your dog is overstimulated, they might become more reactive and aggressive. Keeping them on a leash can help.
