Busy day today at Olaf’s Place, we got to groom a few great pups today, including this little handsome guy. I 💯% love what I get to do. Thank you to everyone for letting me groom your babies. It honestly gives me smiles all day long.

I hate to break the bad news, but Sam passed away naturally at 18 years old two days ago. He went downhill quickly (less than 10 hours) due to a pericardial effusion. He was just playing with his ball two days before. We stopped at the dog park on the way to the vet for one last cheeseburger. He wouldn’t eat it. When I looked into his eyes, I knew I couldn’t give up on him if there was something I could’ve done for him.

I opted to not put him down but to drain the effusion to buy us a couple of days to do some testing. No sooner was I signing the credit card payment, when the ER vet came running out and told me he was passing (they completed the procedure, which is supposed to feel relieving, but his body couldn’t handle it).

I think the way he went was perfect. He didn’t have much suffering and he fought til the very end. I did, however, opt for DNR because why resuscitate him for it to happen all over again? I feel like we both got the closure we needed. I’ll miss him very much but I’m so glad we both went out fighting and loving each other.

My name is Zeke. I first arrived at the shelter back in 2017, and have been back and forth ever since. Over the years I’ve had multiple families adopt me, then return me to no fault of my own. I thought I found my furever home a few months ago, but here I am again back at the shelter. To make a long story short, it was not a good fit for me.
I am tired. I am not happy about being back at the shelter. I want someone to commit to me! Please don’t make me wait here any longer. I deserve a home that will give me time, love and patience as I settle into a new environment once again. Here are some facts to get to know me:

❤️ 9 years old, 55lbs
❤️ Knows sit, shake, lay down (very smart!)
❤️ Good with other dogs and older kids
❤️ Loves rope toys and going for walks
❤️ Potty trained but would benefit from a home where he can be taken out frequently (old bladders aren’t what they used to be!)
❤️ Moderate/occasionally high energy

Olaf had such a great time today. Too much fun. He was passed out in the back seat within 2 miles of leaving Ramona lol 😂. But what a beautiful day it ended up being. Thank you all for the love and support. We will see you soon!

So today we were privileged with 5 amazing brothers and sisters. However Bandit stole the show with his eyes and wanting to snuggle alllllll the time lol. What a sweetheart. They all were very sweet and we are looking forward to seeing them again. But for your viewing pleasure here is Bandit and all his sweetness 🥰. Also he likes to give lots of kisses 😚

Had a busy day today at Olaf’s Place for the 1st day open. Met some amazing young puppies today including Clifford. He wanted all the attention ☺️. Booking about 3 weeks out at the moment so get your appointments made early moms and dads!
