Why hasn’t anyone scooped up our adorable Cassie yet? This girl is a bundle of joy!

Cassie is playful, goofy, and super smart. She's got a heart of gold and is great with other dogs—she’s just looking for her forever family!

Her backstory is tough (she was chained up and neglected), but you’d never know it because she’s still the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet.

She’s been with us for 10 months , and we can’t figure out why she hasn’t found a home yet. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and fun, Cassie is your girl!

Do you remember Bernie? He was abandoned and left alone in a dirty patio without food or water. Thankfully, D&A Animal Rescue took him in, and today marks one year with his loving adoptive family! 🎉

He’s living his best life, going on incredible adventures and enjoying every moment. We couldn’t ask for a better family for him.

Today, we had to step in to help another dog in need. Chiquita has been suffering from significant pain, so we took immediate action and brought her to an emergency vet. There, she underwent an emergency spay, and we discovered that her gums and teeth were severely infected and swollen.

While we are committed to ensuring Chiquita receives the care she deserves, we still need to consult a specialist for her ongoing treatment. Due to the high costs of medical bills, we have temporarily closed our intake, but in this emergency situation, we knew we had to act quickly to alleviate her suffering.

Our priority is to ensure that Chiquita can live pain-free and experience the love and joy she deserves.

We are reaching out in a moment of urgent need and deep concern. Today, we were contacted about a senior man who has lost his home. He was evicted, and the conditions of the house were unbearable—power was cut off, and temperatures soared over 115 degrees. The smell was overwhelming, and the environment was unsanitary. Amidst this chaos, the man was planning to leave behind 9 small dogs which include several puppies who are not spayed or neutered, unvaccinated, and infested with fleas and full.of worms.

These innocent animals are in desperate need of help. They are frightened, skittish, and in dire need of love and care to regain their trust. Unfortunately, the situation has reached a critical point; one of the puppies is not eating or drinking and are facing unimaginable distress.

We could not abandon these sweet souls to such a horrific fate.

Now, we urgently need fosters who can provide a safe and loving environment for them to heal and thrive. (Fosters only from Houston)

Today has been incredibly challenging for us and our sweet girl, Vicky. We took her to the vet for her spay, hoping for a happy and healthy future. However, the vet discovered a mass on her leg that needs to be removed, adding to our unexpected expenses.

Vicky is an estimated 4 years old and weighs 54 lbs. Despite the huge scar on her leg and the marks on her face – reminders of a tough past where it seems she may have been hit by a car – her spirit remains unbroken. She has tested positive for heartworms and hookworms, which adds to the urgency of her needs.

We initially budgeted $375 for her spay, but our bill has skyrocketed to $859, and this doesn’t even include the heartworm injection, which could cost around $575. It’s heartbreaking to see her struggle, but she deserves a chance at a healthy life filled with love and happiness.

Vicky is the sweetest dog, full of love to give, and we are determined to do everything possible to help her heal. Any support or kind thoughts during this difficult time would mean the world to us. 💔
