We have some snow in the forecast! Friendly reminder to keep your pets warm and safe during this cold spell. Here are some pointers to help keep your pets safe and warm during the cold!

- If possible, please keep your furry family members inside. If this isn't possible provide them with a warm place to stay that will protect them from the cold wind and snow.

- Protect their paws! The rock salt that is put down to help melt the snow and ice is painful on their paws. I put little cloth booties on my dog when we go outside on the pavement.

- Monitor and manage their outside time. Although some dog breeds are meant for snow there are a majority that aren't, so please don't let them outside for too long. Pets are susceptible to frost bite and hypothermia just like we are, so if you're getting chilly then your pet probably is too.
