We are a foster based, non-profit animal rescue serving the animals of Waldo/Hancock county region.
Olive, Rose and Hammy have been in our care for far too long, especially considering that they are all AMAZING kitties. With recent donations we are able to reduce their adoption fees to $90 - all of these cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and flea treated. All they need is a loving family to call their own!

Rose is one of the most easy going fosters we have. She has a delicate personality and not a mean bone in her body. She takes time to warm up to new people but once she trusts you, you’ll have a friend in her forever. Rose MUST go to a home with another friendly cat, she also LOVES dogs. She is only about year old and is as sweet as they come!

We have some adorably wonderful kittens looking for foster-to-adopt homes. This means they still need some things before an adoption can be finalized. This crew is set to be spayed and neutered the first week of July - so families would need to bring the kitten back to us the night before surgery.

Annabelle (gray) and Cleo (tabby) are finally retired from raising babies. Both these girls are incredibly friendly and affectionate. They have co-nursed TWELVE kittens together, and love each other dearly. While we know even placing one adult cat into a home can take time, we are truly hoping these girls will have the opportunity to keep their strong bond and live out theirs lives together.

Let’s talk about Gigi 😻
First, Gigi is an absolute doll. She is petite - understatement, she is TINY. She is personable - also an understatement, this girl climbs you for attention. Gigi loves everything that moves. While she acts like a proper, dignified lady majority of the time, she likes to let loose with a fun toy like any normal kitten.
Gigi is a special needs kitten - she has megaesophagus. This means she has a hard time moving food down into her stomach. In order to help this condition, Gigi stands up (on her own) to eat. She knows and loves her routine and these days does not regurgitate anything after she eats.

This is Slim Jim. Slim Jim is just one of MANY cats from a colony in Searsport. A colony that has been going on for years with little intervention. Of course, people have tried to rectify the situation many times. But it really comes down to, where will these cats go? Who has the space for them? Will they all be euthanized? And the biggest question, who will pay for them?
While we do not have the answers to those questions right now, we do know that we are tired of watching these cats live like this. This is exactly why you hear rescues preach about spaying and neutering your pets. THIS is what results in cats being left to breed over and over again.
Slim Jim is our 8th cat from this colony. He is an old man, FIV positive and has the sweetest personality. He weighed 4.8lbs on intake and now, two weeks later, is 6.5lbs. One step at a time ❤️
We get it.. little, itty, bitty babies are irrestibly cute. But have you seen THESE SWEET FACES 😻 all of these guys need adoptive homes too! And while they may not be itty, bitty things, they are still just as deserving. And don’t forget, those little guys DO grow up 🤪

Rose- gray female, 1 year old. This beautiful girl is looking for a quiet home with other furry friends. Rose bonds strongly with women and is the sweetest girl when she is confident. Rose takes quite a while to trust people, but she is worth it!
Rune - black & white female, 6 months old. What more can we say about this girl?! Other than she is the BEST. Rune is so full of character you cannot stop laughing. While she is partially blind, it does not hold her back one bit!

Words cannot describe this girl, she truly is one of a kind. Rune, simply put, is just a fun cat. Her quirky personality will always have you laughing! Rune is about 5 months old, loves other cats and is good with dogs. She is constantly looking for something to play with and when she finally does stop moving she loves a warm lap to curl up in. She also enjoys showing her affection through love bites.

A few days ago we were asked to help a sick, dying cat from a neighboring town and was sent this photo… our heart broke right then.
Upon intake, this guy was cleaned up, warmed up, started on antibiotics and given fluids. Despite his awful condition, he showed us a lovely personality. He meowed for attention and did his best to stand and find us. He leaned his head into our hands for affection.
Upon further investigation, his teeth showed he was definitely a senior. His poor health stemmed from kidney failure and chronic malnutrition. Our hearts are heavy with all the what ifs and unanswered questions of why someone let it get this bad. And while we were not able to save him, we can sleep at night knowing that his final days he was warm and loved.

Odin is a roughy 9-10 week old husky. This boy is as amazing as he is beautiful. He is incredibly smart for his age and doing great with potty and crate training. Odin is true to his breed - he is very active, busy and bold. He would spend all day outside if he could! We are looking for an adventurous home for this boy. A home that will provide the early puppyhood training he deserves and one that understands that his white paws will always be brown! 😅

Our newest mommas - Annabelle and Cleo ❤️ they are co-nursing 11 babies. Neonate kitten care is something we are very passionate about. So while these mommas do their best, we will do ours to ensure everyone thrives. 😻🥹❤️

Jenkins is a young guy at only a year and half and is thought to be a shih tzu mix. In the last couple months, Jenkins has had many transitions and needs a home dedicated to helping him become his best possible self.
While Jenkins does his best to be brave, really he is a nervous guy. He enjoys meeting all sorts of new people and absolutely adores kids. However, the chaos that comes with young kids is too much for him. He does great with cats, and is fine with dogs, but would prefer a dog friend that is on the calm side. He is a true lap dog and also loves to be with you in the car. Jenkins is not fully potty-trained, but is doing great in his foster home! He seems to be responding to his name and happy, positive tones but really he is a project pup and could use a restart on basic commands.
Jenkins has a history of turning into a… handful. He can become bitey when overwhelmed or being forced to do some thing he doesn’t want. However, he is doing wonderful with his foster family and hasn’t presented this behavior.
Jenkins was recently neutered and had 4 retained baby teeth removed! He also got this fabulous cut from Something to Wag About ❤️

Perriwinkle is about 6-9months, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is such a sweet soul. Perriwinkle was abandoned with several other cats but still has so much love to give. She is constantly purring and looking for attention! Perriwinkle is fine with other cats and dogs. She truly is such a joy to have around!

We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive community. We want to thank the Searsport Elementary School, specifically the amazing fourth graders and their teachers, for putting on the sweetest play the other night. Not only did they sing about being responsible pet owners, they also raised over $300 for us!!
