We don’t get around much to posting about all the many things that happen behind the scenes so we wanted to share a little.

As many of you know, we are a very small organization. We started this rescue with our only intention of helping within our local communities. Whether that be helping with the over population of cats in our own neighborhoods, or assisting with local ACO’s and finding placement when they most need it. We are simply here to help - and that help could not be done without the support from ALL of YOU!

During last week’s yardsale hosted by the incredible staff at Ridge Runner Veterinary Services, over $1,000 was raised! Two days later, while we set up at Stockton Springs Fire Station, 8 kittens found amazing homes.

Please read carefully as our kitten adoption is a little different right now.

Our kitten adoption fee is $175 - this includes their spay/neuter, 3 FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine and microchip. Because we have so many kittens coming of age right at the same time, they all will be getting fixed in September. That means the adopter must agree to bring them back to us the night before that big day. Some of the kittens also still need their final booster vaccine, which means they will need to bring them back to us in a couple weeks for a quick poke.

We apologize for the back and forth of these adoptions, but it is the best way to get these guys into their loving homes asap. And who wants to miss out on this special time with their new kitten?!

These BEAUTIFUL kittens will be joining Stockton Springs Fire Department tomorrow for a photoshoot. While we are down there, we are inviting you to come ADOPT THEM!

ADOPTED 😻👑

While we think every animal that comes to us is special, there’s just something extra about this guy. Maybe it’s his stunning face, or his little nubby tail, or maybe it’s because he hated us for many weeks. When Kingsley first arrived, he was extremely shut down and incredibly nervous of everyone. He was peeing himself over and over and wouldn’t come out of his hidey hole. We didn’t put a lot of pressure on him to befriend us, just gentle talking and occasionally letting him smell our fingers. Something finally clicked with him though, and he now thinks we are worthy of his friendship 😻

Kingsley is proving himself a very chatty guy. While he does enjoy being pet and hanging out with you, he can still be a little shy with commotion and meeting new people.

YARDSALE FUNDRAISER!

Dunkin wants everyone to know how excited he is to meet people next Friday, August 8th, at the Annual Yard Sale for a Cause: Benefiting What's One Moore Animal Rescue!

This event is being held at Ridge Runner Veterinary Services courtesy of some of their wonderful staff. We will have some kittens up for adoption, crafts for sale, and the name-your-price yardsale of course!

Donations for this yardsale are still being accepted and can be dropped off during normal business hours at Ridge Runner.

Kineo participated in yesterday’s Bucksport Bay Festival’s 5K run, benefiting our friends at the Bucksport Animal Shelter!

It’s safe to say that Kineo would LOVE someone who would like to jog with him -his pace and eagerness to keep going was impeccable! Even at just 9 months old, Kineo was the third dog finisher! We are just so proud of him and are desperately wanting to find him a family that will let him shine. Now, if any one has any tips for his foster momma on how to move the next day, that would be appreciated 🤣❤️

We are getting very low on dry cat and kitten food as well as canned cat food! We also have had a crazy amount of bottle baby kittens come to us, and could use a restock of kitten formula.

We are officially looking for this guys forever home!

Meet Dunkin - he is roughly 2yrs old, and around 10lbs. He has a great personality and loves every person he meets. Dunkin does okay with cats, but will occasionally chase them in a playful manner. Dunkin is still adjusting to having dog friends. He does much better with those his size, and will need someone patient if they’re much larger than he is. He loves being by your side anytime, anywhere! Will hang out with you outside, on your lap, and in the car. Dunkin prefers to be treated like a big dog and not too much manhandling, like being picked up and forced to do something.
