❤️🐴 Dear Ben & Sashay,How do you encapsulate 30 years of love, laughter& adventures? It’s impossible to share the memories that deserve a novel .. a few highlights from our incredible journey.
breathtaking rides through Haleakala Crater unforgettable camping trips at Paliku cabin the thrill of moonlight rides under a blanket of stars or trail riding to and savoring delicious meals at Haile Maile General Store &galloping through the pineapple fields, under the night sky every moment a cherished memory The excitement of Polo matches, the vibrant Kamehameha Day parades, the joy of Fourth of July festivities added sparkle to our years together.
Dressing up as elves & reindeer for Makawao Xmas pony rides, Seabury pony rides, hundreds of kids birthday parties,polo with Sashay was bliss we breathed as one on the Polo field, Ben magnificent vaulting pony, beach rides & ocean swims Ben loved swimming in the ocean.Every morning began with Ben’s cheerful whinny, as if to say, “first feed me!! then Let’s seize the day!”weeklong adventures at Camp Imua all the special friends we made. overnight campouts at the barn
Every encounter took on a new enchantment, from riding Ben to fetch the mail to splashing through sprinklers on hot summer days. Halloween was a blast with creative costumes, carrots, apples, the whip cream game, years of kids’ polo practices and games and the most special New Year’s Eve midnight pajama rides with apple cider toasts to the new year like a dream. We shared secret trail rides, magical midnight visits to the barn, delicious snacks, Ben was quite the connoisseur!The heartfelt notes from children pleading to ride Sashay Ben’s playful antics as he dragged everyone to the feed room?
all the horse shows we competed in dressage Hunter- jumper, western. these two ponies won countless awards at each show as well as year-end High Point awards. They set so many young riders up for success in their lifelong horse endeavors.
Through 29 years of riding lessons Our bond was forged in love and respect,that is what truly matters. Here’s to the adventures we shared the memories that will forever hold a special place in my heart I ❤️ you

💔🐴it is with a heavy heart that I share the end of a era…the bittersweet news of Sashay and Ben, the two most beloved lesson ponies on Maui, crossing the rainbow bridge. For 31 years, they brought joy and magic to countless children, their gentle spirits lighting up the lives of everyone they encountered.

Words fail to capture the depth of my gratitude for these remarkable ponies. Sashay and Ben were my companions, my confidants, my teachers, my family. I’ve spent more time with them than I have with any humans, and in those moments, I discovered the true meaning of love and connection.

Their soft whinnies and warm nuzzles were more than just gestures; they were a balm for the soul, a reminder of the innocence and wonder that life can bring. Each day was a new adventure, every brushstroke a moment of bonding. They taught me about trust, patience, and the beauty of simply being present.

As we say goodbye to these incredible friends, my heart aches for the love and compassion they inspired and the memories we created together. They were more than just lesson ponies; they were a piece of my heart. Thank you, Sashay and Ben, for the love you shared and the joy you brought to so many lives. You will never be forgotten. 🐴💔
