It's a long way off, but a potential storm next week is showing promise as the first significant 'winter storm' of the season for much of the country. The weather we'll get here will depend on the eventual track of the low (in other words don't take this map too literally 6 days out), and it's still over the Pacific. But it does bear watching!

Colder this morning! With only some high clouds around, air temps are lower this morning. You might find some pretty heavy frost in your neighborhood as well. But the frosty morning is an indication that today will be a little nicer once the sun comes up.

A year ago we were getting hit by a fierce 'mini-blizzard' with heavy snow and very cold air. In fact, the official low and high on 12/23/22 were -5° and 9°! Tomorrow we're likely to have highs near or even above 60°.

Not quite as cold this morning. Yesterday we had official lows in the teens and 20s....this morning we'll be in the 20s to around freezing thanks to a bit more cloud cover. Note that Union City shows 21° while Carbondale shows 34°. I say 'shows' because these are the readings at the weather stations; temps may be slightly different in your part of town.

As discussed yesterday morning on the Breakfast Show, this will likely be the coldest morning of the season thus far for most of us, as winds go nearly calm by daybreak. Dew points are very low but there still will likely be some heavy frost on some roofs and vehicles.
