This is so heartbreaking to read. With an influx of Pet Sitter/Dog walkers advertising everywhere, it’s extremely important to choose someone who does it professionally. Rover May work for some, but it’s not a consistent reliability and most do not carry pet care insurance. I do not board, but I do recommend professional pet sitters I personally network with and know. Please be careful!! This is so devastating. There should be a law that bans pet sitters from working as a pet sitter once animal control is involved or negligence. I will look into like. This has to stop!

The Union County dog sitter also placed shock collars on dogs against their owners' wishes, police said.

To say I love what I do is an understatement to say the least. People may not associate Pet Sitting as a career. But, what is career? Well, it’s an occupation with opportunities for progress. How do I progress as a Pet Sitter? That is the same question I asked myself 4 years ago. How will I challenge myself? How will I progress?? Well first, I chose to become a member of the worlds largest Professional Pet Sitting Network, Pet Sitters International. I constantly receive informative toolkits every month. It helps me grow a successful business, including many articles on important topics for pet care, blogs, resources and webinars. I’ve learned And have applied so much in the past years and happy to keep learning and expanding!
🐾I’ve seen an increase in Pet Sitters over the past few months, and I actually love that fact that people are enjoying and seeing the many benefits of caring for Pets and benefiting our pet care community. However, having appropriate ”Pet Care” insurance is key! Business insurers of the Carolina’s is the insurance made specifically just for Pet Care! They cover not only pet sitters negligence, they cover medication administration and so much more.
