7/24/2024 4:00pm-This dogs original owner has been found. Bo was rehomed by his Dad in May 2024 he is 4 years old and was an indoor. We are not sure how he was lost or where he was lost from. His previous owner will be following up with Kalkaska County Animal Shelter on Saturday. At this time, Bo will be surrendered to Kalkaska Animal Control by his previous owner.

The Kalkaska County stray Great Pyrenees has been safely contained and transported to Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter after more than 2 months on the run.

At this time no owner has been found and no microchip😪
"Richard (named by local propertyowner's)" did great walking on leash into the shelter💙

Do you know the owner of this dog? It appears to be a Great Pyrenees. This dog has shown up on security cameras on Smith Rd/Plum Valley Rd area over the last 4 nights.

🐾5/2/2024🐾 Slow and steady progress with Lulu. She found one of the food stations this morning but was spooked before having a chance to eat.

Lulu escaped her yard while her fence collar wasn't on, 4/28/2024 2:30pm. Lulu is in k9 survival mode and will not come when called to, instead she goes further away. Most current sighting area is Island Lake Rd/Trail 55/Smith Lake Rd.

"Gypsy"

Gypsy white/red pit mix wearing a harness that has been running from I75/4 Mile Rd to 7 Mile/S Grayling Rd since she was first seen 12/14/23 laying on the highway near mile marker 206. Crawford County Animal Control - Grayling, Michigan and Moore's Lost K9 Search and Recovery have spent countless days/miles set traps/moving camera's and talking with property owner's. Tonight Gypsy engaged in her normal playtime with a local dog's(Buddy and Ned)when the property owner's daughter Jenna was able to quickly close her in their horse pasture. After a little work and lots of treats Gypsy has been safely contained and us in route to the animal control.

Huge thank you to Kari/Animal Control for always going above and beyond for lost dog's. Thank you to all the property owners that allowed us to come in to their property and set-up. Without the entire community support Gypsy would still be on the run.

🐾3/19/24 2pm Vet update- He said his wounds are superficial. He gave him a shot of steroids, pain, meds, and antibiotics. Simba physical injuries will heal, please continue to keep him in your prayer's as his psychological journey begins.🐾

Simba went missing after a dog fight, while walking with owner 3/16/24. Mom was able to break up the fight but Simba ran, the fight was with another dog Simba lives with. Simba is wearing this hi vis yellow vest. He is lost North of Supply Rd west of Williamsburg Rd, near the oil rig about 1/2 mile northeast of the rock on the vasa trail.Please call Mom at 231-313-6823 if you see Simba.

DO YOU KNOW ME OR MY OWNER??

I was able to safely contain this young male dog after an unknown amount of time on the run. No collar or tags, animal control will check for microchip.He had been seen several times running across 571 in traffic between Musser Rd and Elder Rd. I was able to finally get him eating a a food station and ultimately contained in an off leash recovery. He has been transferred to Antrim County Animal Control and taken to Mancelona Veterinary Hospital for immediate medical care for his porcupine quills.

Huge thank you to Mancelona Veterinary Hospital for seeing him today. Riverside Energy for allowing me to set up food at their facilities and several local resident's for keeping an eye out for him.

Kate escaped around 9am this morning from her uncle's home while being watched, during construction at her home. Mom, Dad and her Aunt and Uncle searched her for several hours with no luck.

Mom reached out to me and while I was loading equipment, a sighting was posted on Facebook nearby. Kate had been seen by a neighbor within a mile of were she escaped. I gave Mom my recommendations and she agreed. Mom sent her Aunt and Uncle to the sighting area and they were able to call her to them. Kate is safely reunited with her family, thanks to the neighbor posting her sighting on Facebook. Huge thank to her hero "Gayla" your post brought Kate home safely🙏🐾🩷

10/22/23 9:25pm-Scrumpy is home safe! I set the trap at 7:05pm, put Dexter and Maverick's blankets in and on the trap, then drove to his house and picked up his little persons stuffed toy. Returned to the trap at 7:21pm and hung the toy inside. At 8:21pm Scrumpy returned to the trap smelled things and disappeared then around 9:25pm he scratched at his own door after crossing M72 again. Hard to say if he followed Dexter and Maverick's scent or was able to finally smell his little person and track him home. Either way he is home getting warm, full belly and lots of love🙏🐾💙

🐾FYI🐾

I just wanted to remind everyone currently I am the only trapper/tracker/k9 trackers that provides custom trapping in Northern Michigan. Unfortunately there are times when I have to take case's on emergency priority, that unfortunately goes above other lost dog's. We are receiving an average of 4-8 calls or more per day begging for help. They are things you can do to help your dog and I always provide information as soon as I can, depending on cell service in the area I am working in.

Please remember when I send you the list of critical questions, refusing to provide the required information isn't helping your dog. This information is needed before I will make any price quote for service's. When you decide to call me yelling/threatening me, this does not help! I have been the lost dog owner so I completely understand how stressful it can be. Threatening, screaming and harassing phone calls to me is absolutely unacceptable!!

Please if I send you things to do such as flyers door to door, large roadside posterboards in area missing, steps to set up food stations or how to set out scent clothing, please don't delay getting these things done the above items help get sighting's of your lost dog. I try to respond daily to all messages, but please remember I am also working with many volunteers that have offered to help as well as Animal Control from multiple counties and several administrators from Facebook Lost and Found pages. Many times FB administrators will share critical steps/tips thst will help as well, please remember most of the administrators have years invested in helping lost dog's. Please be patient and remember I am doing everything I can to help🙏🐾❤

🐾10/14/23 8:41pm Successfully trapped after 8 days, no physical injuries seen from being hit. Heidi will undergo a medical exam to be sure she wasn't injured🐾

Heidi escaped from her Grandma's yard while being watched on 10/6/2023. Heidi does not live in the area. Heidi was hit by a vehicle on 72 near Skip's 10/6/2023. Unfortunately sighting's went cold until 10/8/2023 when she was seen near Century 21 on 72. I was able to start tracking her on 10/9/2023 she had been hanging near the railroad tracks and the airport. Heidi was crossed 72 late on 10/11/23 and was seen at Charlie's/4 mile 10/12/23 8am. I spent hours tracking her through the trails and setting food stations/camera's. She was seen around 3pm behind the Ramada in Grayling 10/12/23, 10/13/33 and 10/14/23. On 10/13/23 I was advised that Heidi was actively be tracked by 2 coyotes in broad daylight, I immediately got Dex out and let him push the coyotes away. I then made the call downstate to Heidi's Dad and ask that they commute back to Grayling in hopes of luring Heidi to them. Rich and Molly arrived in a couple hours and went out to the food station and sat during the rain in hopes of Heidi coming to them. A few hours after Mom and Dad left for the night Heidi returned to smell the blanket and Mom's gloves and grab a bite to eat. Heidi returned 5 times before 8:15am. I set the trap at 8:52am and we waited, finally at 8:36pm she appeared on camera and entered the trap at 8:41pm. After establishing a food station and familiar scent in the area a trap was set. Heidi was successfully trapped within hours of her finding the food station.

I did go out to 75 near Waters 10/13/23 & 10/14/23 for reports of German Shepherd deceased on the highway between Waters and Ga***rd. I was very happy to see both animals were large coyotes not Heidi.

I would like to thank everyone who helped search, said prayer's, reported sighting's, place food out and open their properties up to us. I can't do what I do without this help from the community.

10/2/23 From Cedar Valley Rd In Petoskey, after being with his new owner last than 2 days. Tank was not familiar with the area he went missing from and decided to follow his nose in typical beagle style.
10/4/23 8:45am Hit by car on 131 near Kemp Rd. Multiple sighting's and attempts to catch him but he only continued to run. Thanks to our amazing volunteers Momo Pobalis, Patricia Olson and some pretty amazing property owner's. Tank's comfort zone was found. Momo and Patti borrowed a trap from Emmet County Stray Center(In my absence, as I was out on another lost dog case) these ladies set the trap for Tank on 10/4/23. In typical beagle style Tank teased them for countless hours of stealing food from the trap without triggering the door. I was able to assist and ultimately swapped the trap for my conventional trap with a ray tripper 10/7/23 at 7:22pm and Tank was successfully trapped at 8:16pm on 10/7/23. This evening Tank was reunited with his new owner once again.

I have been working with a property owner on River Rd in Kalkaska County on a male walker hound that has been running the area for at least 2 months. 10/2/23 12:45pm-Huge shout out to Stephanie/ Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter for safely containing this dog. She apparently was hit by a vehicle near the fairgrounds recently. Injuries are unknown at this time, but she was still able to run from people after being hit🙏🐾🩷
