We have officially moved!! 🏠 🚗 🏞
What a crazy drive. 19 hours turned into 23, but we made it! 🌞

Thank you, Manchester, for such a great few years. We are onto new adventures. Stay tuned!! 📻

Yesterday was Aspen's (and Koda's) birthday! 🥳 There were minutes of sorrow but also so much joy! I am so proud of my little girl carrying on as the lead of her little pack. Pepper has become the best little sister she could have ever wanted.

The food they ate today!! Oh my. Well, Aspen received a hobbit style breakfast. 🍳 Breakfast One was a serving of the kitten food she is always trying to steal, and Breakfast two was her half kibble, half home cooked meal with an egg and her supplements. 🍩 Lunch was a plain donut hole, and dinner was some steak and cheese paired with her less than normal sized dinner. 🍖 Oh my goodness, did she love all the food. I didn't end up making her 🥓 or pupcakes, 🧁 but I think those can be given over the weekend after she relaxes a day after calorie overload.

💪 Aspen is loving her visits with !! 🐕 We have a massage and stretch routine, and she's been getting laser treatment, acupuncture, and water treadmill work!! It's also fun to discuss diet and supplement options with the staff. These ladies are amazing and do the best things for my girl. Thank you so much!! 💓

Pepper 🌶 strutted thru her first Vet appointment with ease! This girl's love for treats really makes uncomfortable situations so much easier! 🍖

There is another variant of canine influenza going around sadly. If your pup is experiencing coughing or lethargy, make the call and see a professional!

Luckily, there are a number of things adopters and foster families can do to help their animals feel more comfortable—and lower the risk of them getting injured or lost.

“DID YOU KNOW?” (INTERESTING FACTS THAT MAY SAVE A LIFE DURING DISASTER)

🐈 The three favorite hiding places in a house for cats to hide after an earthquake are behind the refrigerator, in the box-springs of a bed and either under or behind a couch.
🐎 When a horse is frightened they will seek out the place where they normally feel safe even if the barn they live in is on fire or filling with flood water.
🐰 In each disaster there are accurate totals kept of the number of people that are injured and killed, but there is not a system for keeping track of the number of animals even though there can be hundreds of thousands of animals injured or killed in a single disaster.
🐠 In a disaster, if you try to get to your home after road blocks are put up to retrieve your animals, you still will not be allowed into the evacuated area.
🐻 During wildfires a mother bear will lay on top of her cubs to protect them, often times dying herself from the smoke to save her cub.
🐱 Cats are not normally very fond of going swimming, but in a flood they will swim a good distance to get to a safe location.
🐕 As the water rises, dogs that are left behind in a flood will often seek refuge on a roof, only to have their paws severely burned if the roof is metal and the weather is hot.
🦜 Turning a domesticated bird lose thinking it will survive, instead of taking them with you when you evacuate, will more than likely result in the bird surviving for only a short time because they are not accustomed to looking for food for themselves, the weather is probably drastically different than where the species is found in the wild and they are easily caught by cats.
🐶 During a flood, some people will strip their house of everything down to the carpeting if they have time, but they will leave the dog behind, chained up.
🐩 If a dog is not evacuated during a disaster and they are not confined, they will usually start wandering and they can end up miles from home.

🐕 💙 Blu is just shy of 4 months and loves to chew on EVERYTHING! 🥕 His mom has been doing her due diligence and giving him nylon bones, frozen carrots and other great chews that not only help this little man get his chewing energy on but help his little gums through this process.
