So quickly can things change with cats and it is sometimes very hard to spot. Gizzy hasn’t been eating well and throwing up since Friday evening. Tomorrow I’ll call our vet to get him in. Say a prayer for this guy. First time in two years he’s been sick.

This week, in a pawsome turn of events, I’ve traded my usual cat-sitting escapades for the serene vigil of an aquarist. As the felines are away, I will play—well, more like I’ll be the watchful guardian of this underwater utopia. Ensuring that the fishy inhabitants are swimmingly happy, I'm tackling algae like a feline chases lasers, all while suspecting the snails of plotting a slow-motion escape. Who knew that tending to an aquatic garden could be just as suspenseful as a cat stalking its prey? Here’s to hoping my whiskered clients won’t be too jealous of my newfound underwater friends!

Rosalie is a senior cat I look after every week. She’s been through a tough week, but like all my pet parents, she receives excellent care. She’s on the road to recovery, and today’s lunch for her was a special treat: warm, microwaved chicken pieces ❤️.
