Hi, My name is Koda. I was hit by a car about a month ago and had to have my back leg amputated, but that doesn’t slow me down. Today is my last day of foster care before I have to go back to the shelter. I need my furever home. I am a sweet boy who wants all the lovins. I like to play with other dogs and the size doesn’t matter. I have been given a clean bill of health. I weight 35 pounds, up to date on all shots and have been neutered. I will be at the Mansfield Animal shelter starting tomorrow. If you could please share this post and help find me a home. All adoption fees are waived to try and help clear the shelter.

We just wanted to give a little bit of education to anyone who is not familiar with Matting in dogs.
What is Matting?
Matting in dogs occurs when fur becomes tangled and forms tight knots close to the skin, causing discomfort and potential health issues. Regular grooming and brushing can prevent matting and maintain a healthy coat.
IF a dogs fur is not properly maintained it can cause some health issues.
Mats can cut off blood flow, cause skin damage and increasing infection risk. Severe matting can led to discomfort and behavioral changes due to pain.
The pictures show the before, during and after a groom on a matted dog.
