The little puppy (Elijah), who had a seizure this morning, hasn't had any further today. He's been eating in between frequent naps. He's on anti-seizure meds that make him pretty drowsy. He wakes up, whines, snacks, and then falls back asleep as soon as I sit in the playpen with him. He's still being monitored closely by one of the resident cats.

**One of the puppies had a pretty significant seizure as staff was coming in. The vet thinks it may be caused by a birth defect or head trauma. The puppy is staying with the Dog Warden and will be monitored this weekend.**

Efram and Onslow are having a puppy play date this morning!

Do you enjoy a classically handsome dog? Do you need motivation to keep your trash empty? Do you want to always feel intelligent? Does the sound of gentle snorts and snuffles soothe you? Let me introduce you to your perfect match! This is Harlan. He is a young, neutered guy who is heartworm/lyme negative and current on his vaccines. You may be wondering about his donut of shame. Well, Harlan is highly food motivated and has a very loose definition of what food is. He had to have surgery to remove parts of a tin that he ate. Harlan does not have a lot going on in that gorgeous, giant head of his. Harlan is a very happy guy who would love to spend his time with someone special. Merry Christmas! Phillips Animal Hospital staff prepared and delivered a Christmas meal for the dogs of chicken, eggs, rice, peas, and pumpkin for the dogs. We also had a wonderful anonymous donation of Christmas toys, so each dog got a new toy!
