Just the first step towards learning to be better at what I do for your pets 💜 🎓 🐾

Some things I'd like for myself in the New Year:

• Improve my Sealyham groom and continue promoting the breed with everything in me. 🐕

• Work on my sc******ng skills, which I've always allowed to be my weakness. ✂️

• Move out. Hopefully to add more dogs but because it's time. (Any and all help is welcome 💜)

• Continue to compete and have a blast while I do it. The friends I've made and moments on that stage have made me different after this year and I'd love to see it continue. 🏆

• I'd love to work for a handler or mentor to improve myself at dog shows. I'm closest to Springfield but can make almost anything work with enough notice. 😜

• Work on being more comfortable with being uncomfortable and avoiding resentment from me doing too much to please people. This one is a tough one being such a people pleaser but I promise the honesty is always worth it. 😊

Anyone else have some amazing changes or things they want to continue in the new year?

2023 brought me a lot of amazing moments and this sappy post is my time to acknowledge them.

• I got to try out competing this year thanks to the addition of a certain Sealyham and a lot of support from friends who have already had a start on their dream chasing 💜.

• The experience of finally being on the expo stages grooming along people I have admired for years was surreal and even having been acknowledged TWICE as a Compassionate Groomer at two different shows was so emotional.

• I was even fortunate enough to be placed for my grooms and that did wonders for validation in my choice of career (when many times it's been called a hobby).

• An amazing highlight of the year was seeing Montgomery for myself and watching Stache take the show 😁 That was spectacular!

• People managed to make their way in to my life and heart so suddenly at the shows that I feel like I have doubled my family and can't wait to see them and all their accomplishments in 2024!!!

• Being able to have mentors and groomers take time to show me how to improve my ability and share their love and passion for the breeds we have really lit a fire under my butt to better myself.

What a it was. 💜

I had the privilege of tagging along with for Saturday and Sunday if this weekend and got to be a part of the show world in a new way. Not only were there so many breeds that came out that rainy Saturday, but all the that made it on Sunday took my breath away. The early starts, late ends, and are so addicting as are the people I made friends with and connected with along the way. Plus I always enjoy an excuse to hang out with and so I hope I can find more 😁

Another fun part was finding more dog people who are in to and so that gives me such vibes 😎.

Still can't believe I actually placed 3rd at PetQuest last weekend. 💜 🏆

I almost didn't even go, I wanted to cancel or hoped to catch a mild stomach bug or maybe they would cancel. I'm so glad I challenged that (with much support) and went against my anxiety. 💦 😨

For that, I got to see amazing people I met at Intergroom and even made some new friends. I got to compete for my 3rd time ever and got to have some fun with the baby boy but also received recognition from a judge in a large entry tier. I learned a lot from people I used to only get to admire from my phone or in the crowd and I love finding out how much we have in common and making each other laugh. 🤗 🐾

I love competing. I love making my stage neighbors laugh and get weird with me. I love the friends I've gotten to make. I love being with my dog and other dogs and seeing everyone just go hard in a weekend. 🥰

Can't wait til next time.
