At 7.5 years old Fletcher still made us stop on way to where we were headed to follow a deer, no bathroom break...all business the boy that started it all had to get a track in during the off season ( he had no idea this car ride was not business for him);

He is now at the vets office getting his snip snip done and a gastraplex (his stomach stapled to his belly wall basically - to help prevent bloat)
Ugh I know it's a routine thing, but not something my baby goes through every day. 😩 Prayers needed

This month seems to be flashback month here at Fletchers Finds deer tracking . We are running into friends and acquaintances we haven't seen in a few years. Yesterday proved to be no exception. Our good friend Jon called us that his friend Gary wanted some help. He had made a shot on a beautiful buck and things looked right, but he didn't see the buck drop and that is what worried him, so he got his arrow and looked around a little but backed right out soon as he realized the buck wasn't right where he could see him from the shot spot and gave Jon a call about help tracking his deer.
We had met Gary at a get together to celebrate the birth of Jons first son. We talked hunting then and knew what an avid hunter Gary was.
Well Saturday Gary showed us the avid hunter he was, that persistence pays off and finally got his buck that broke a personal best for him.
Congratulations on a beautiful buck...what a stud.

Tom gave us a call that he got a close shot early that morning on a nice buck and didn't want to loose it...it was late in the day. We spent the day hunting and wanted to wait till first light the next morning to start fresh.
We met up with Tom and his crew bright and early to help him get his buck out of the mountain/valley he was hunting in. (He had had some recent knee surgery)
Autumn worked her way across two creeks before cross crossing them again. It was well over a mile long track with little to no blood at the end. She knew it didn't go up the hill again, but didn't want to leave the valley either, but wouldn't locate the buck nearby...sadly her downfall is she loves water!!! Well she wasn't far off....lol
Finally the team that went along with Jamie and Autumn located his beast in the creek nearby.
Congratulations Tom on a beautiful beast of a buck! You have an amazing team of friends! We are happy to know we are on that team!

Been needing to get this posted for a while. Though Autumn has gotten her chance to track some bear, it hasn't worked out. Sadly not for her lack of trying or for her skills.
Sadly it was the bear crossing onto posted land we didn't have access to or just lack of blood to work with due to hours upon hours of pouring rain on another. Poor kid just didn't get much action for bear calls her first year at it.
This year we got calls but sadly they were coming while working or out on deer calls BUT finally got her first official connection with a bear on the books in the bag!!!
This track was called into us by a good friend, he stopped at the house and showed me a video. I was sure this bear was laying not far from where he last saw it....but it was his first bear in archery and wanted to be sure he found it.
He had seen some eyes when he was going to look and worried he had coyotes on it. Wanted to be 100%. We were booked for the next morning and we don't track bear at night for safety reasons...not to mention it's not legal to do.
As we have a few times, we offered it to a fellow tracking team, knowing again it was a good find, as we usually do, but they declined. We couldn't let a good friend down so we decided to go out early the next morning before our other tracks and we have to say we are blessed to have such amazing clients who have become such amazing friends. Thank you Jim! Congratulations on that first archery two ear tag beast!! We are so lucky to have been part of your hunt!
