Today is a day long-time coming.

I am very grateful for the support given and compassion showed from so many people who know the hell I’ve been through over the last 5mos.

Today, my mind is at ease, my body relaxed, and my soul revived because justice prevailed again.

Today, I am especially proud of my strength, courage and commitment to stand up for what is right and not be afraid of those who have done me and others wrong.

Today I am victorious. Today, I am victorious for others who have been in a similar position.

Today. Today is a new day and a new beginning of things to come….

This sweet girl was found in Kennesaw and I am trying to find original owners and if not found this sweet girl will need a home. She is well mannered, potty trained, heels while walking and we are learning new commands/exercises constantly. She learns so quickly, thanks to Halo K9 Educators and Mark McEvoy and Amanda Barker. I will continue to try and find Lost/Found Pets of Cobb County Lost and Found Dogs of Paulding & Cobb County Georgia. Her sibling was loose as well, longish haired beagle on Due West in Kennesaw, I hope to reunite this precious girl with her owners. Checked for chip, but found non, will try another vet in case the first missed while scanning, otherwise she will need to be rehomed. Please DM me if you know possible owners or are interested in adopting. She will be fully trained and already has wonderful manners and great attention. She’s “one of the special ones”.
I suppose this will be my last efforts and work here at Barkers Dog House and god has a plan for everything. Thank you all!

Barkers Dog House will officially be closed 9/16/2023! It has been a pleasure working with so many of you and your pups. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, and learned so much from rescues, trainers, boarders, clients, fosters, and I thank you all as each one of you has contributed much joy to my life and great wealth of knowledge!

I work with countless rescue dogs or adopted rescue pups. Nothing is more fulfilling then being able to turn them in to great companion dogs for life. This is good standard practice of breeders, green flags and red flags to watch for especially when breeding Merle breeds without getting proper testing. Very informative for those who buy and those who breed that just may not be educated. Please do your homework people!!!

Urgent adopter or foster needed by 3/15/23. Princeton is not doing well in the shelter environment and we have run out of placement options. He needs a home as soon as possible.

Princeton has never had the opportunity to be cared for like a family pet. He has already been through a lot at just two years old and desperately deserves a kind human to show him that the world does not have to be a big, scary place. Princeton is not used to living inside with people, and his instincts are to run and hide at every chance he gets. When he came to us, he would cower in any corner he could get to, constantly trying to hide out of fear or attempting to escape at any opening he saw. Slowly, Princeton has started to understand that the volunteers and staff here at the shelter are good people who only want to help, but he still has a long way to go and cannot make progress in the stressful shelter environment. Princeton needs a human who understands that a slow paced, consistent environment is the only way to bring this incredibly handsome but fearful pup out of his shell. He needs a human who can teach him that leashes aren’t scary, they’re to take him to new exciting places. Princeton deserves to be comfortable with his surroundings, something that the constantly changing shelter environment struggles to provide. Can you be Princeton’s safe space?

Princeton’s ideal home is one where he can:
🐾Rely on a consistent schedule
🐾Live in a calm environment
🐾Learn the ins and outs of being well loved and cared for, this guy deserves to be a puppy again!

If he is unable to find a home, euthanasia is the only humane option for him. He needs your help to leave the shelter immediately. If you can adopt or foster Princeton, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. Email is the ONLY way to reach our staff about an urgent pet in a timely manner.
