cts you claiming to have found your pet, there are a few measures you can take to ensure they actually have your pet. If your pet has any traits or characteristics that you have not shared yet do not address them as facts. Rather than asking “Does he have a kink in his tail?” you can either ask for a general description of the body or even “Can you describe his tail?” This will help with determining who actually has your pet and who is deceitful. General Tips:
• Share on multiple platforms – do not limit your search to one audience.
• Check every lead as not everyone will know the names for coloring and breeds while size and
length of fur may be relative to what the finder is accustomed to. Just as a Belgian Malinois may be listed as a German Shepherd Mix or a brown and black dog, a 30lb mix may seem like a large dog to someone with a 10lb dog. A tortoiseshell cat may be listed as a black and brown or black and orange cat.
• It is also advisable to meet somewhere public such as a police station or a veterinary hospital and also speak with someone at your choice location about your situation and to verify that meeting someone there is allowed and will not interfere with daily operations.
• Never use social media as a sole form of searching for your lost pet.

📢 Breaking News! 🐾

We have some exciting news to share with you! 🎉

Brittney Shrout's request for $204,000 to complete kennel repairs at MACC has just been approved unanimously by the city council! 🏢 Mayor Ronald Morrell Jr. introduced ordinance 19-2024 and has played a crucial role in making the MACC shelter a safer place for our beloved pets and dedicated staff.

Thanks to Mayor Morrell's efforts, the days of cinder blocks and zip ties holding on and holding up dog kennel doors are finally over! 🚫🧱🔗

MACC has expressed their gratitude to Mayor Morrell for stepping up and taking action to improve the shelter's kennels. This milestone achievement will enhance the well-being of our furry friends and provide a more comfortable environment for the amazing staff at MACC. 🐶💕

Sadly, kitten season has arrived but at Marion Animal Control, we’re committed to saving everyone of these little lives. We can’t do it without you! We need fosters and supplies as there are THAT many kittens coming in. I’ll be posting some of them over the next few days. As we’ve said so many times, more lives are saved by spaying and neutering - both indoor and outdoor cats. Until everyone steps up, we’ll deal with what comes our way and we will find homes or rescues for every one of them.

We realize not everyone can foster but if you can, see the link below to fill out the form to be a foster kitty parents. If you’re unable to foster, would you at least consider helping us with supplies for the kittens? The MACC Amazon list is below though feel free to buy them anywhere you please and bring them or shop them to 1021 E SR 18, Marion, IN 46952. We’re located right by the fairgrounds. Thank for whatever you can do for these homeless kitties!

Kitten season is here and we need your help!

We need supplies and foster families to help kittens grown big and healthy!
