Today was all about organizing, feeding people and making sure that NO ONE goes hungry.

Loves…

Thank you so much for all the kind words and check ins and love for me and Jacob, the doggos and these damn chickens. We are all safe and dry. Power was restored today and Jacob should be able to return home tomorrow. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

This photo was taken 15 minutes before the back yard disappeared. These was no time to snap the cool…’hey look what water can do’ action shot. It was get to fu***ng work.

PSA: 💦Water doesn’t give a sh*t…it will take the path of least resistance…E V E R Y T I M E.

Our fence, although a wonderful addition to the homestead almost cost us the homestead.

I am so grateful that Jacob and I spent the two days prior making sure the water had a way to flow and on Friday when Helene came through that I was home and had the tools to clear it and let the water out.

My heart is feeling blessed and my hands will heal. IMHO: My homeowners should thank me.

Giving our first go at hatching chicks. Broody chicken has been given three eggs. So far she has accepted them as her own. Let’s see what the next three weeks may bring. Any (helpful and constructive) advice on how best to care for momma and future babies is always welcome. 🐓🐣🐣🐣
