Wildlife educational post. Had the privilege of helping this baby out today, she was in a dangerous spot in the main road and mom nowhere in sight. I don't like to touch a fawn for fear that mom will reject it, but she was going to get run over if left there. Found mom in some bushes on down the road and reunited them. For those that dont know, deer leave their young and go graze without them. If you find a baby deer dont grab them up!! If they look healthy and are in a safe space leave them be. Handling them can cause the mom to reject them if they smell too much like a human. If mom is nowhere to be found and their ears are curling at the tips, crying with sunken in sides, then is the time to intervene by getting them to a licensed wildlife rehaber asap.

I never know what i might find when skirting fiber 😅 found a cheerio lol guess she was saving that for a late night snack. I sent 25 lbs of fiber to the mill last week!!! Next week I'll sort thru all the alpaca fiber and get it sent off.
