Class reminders have been sent!
There have been some last minute cancellations, so I have 2 spots open in the November Beginner class. This is the last class of 2024!
Classes will be rescheduled, and revamped for 2025 due to our trainer needing to be traveling more.

Holiday grooming: we have had a LOT of no shows lately, mostly our 8-9 am slots. We understand times are hard, and your dog's groom may be on the bottom of your list, but please let us know if you cannot make your appointment or need to reschedule!
Starting today, through the new year, our No Show fee will be doubled. Example: normal groom price is $60 + no show fee of $60 = new groom price of $120. The no show fee will also need to be paid BEFORE you can be rescheduled.
Some Fridays and Saturdays have been opened to get everyone in before we close for 2 weeks around Christmas/New Year's.

In light of extremely high numbers of animals going to shelters, news of animal cruelty and neglect, Iowa’s shameful distinction of being the state with the third largest number of puppy mill breeders in the country, the Heart of Iowa Kennel Club will welcome Tom Colvin, Executive Director of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa to their meeting on Monday, November 4 at 7:00 PM at the Family Pet Center in Marshalltown.

The program and meeting are free and open to the public. The Club meets at the Family Pet Center which is located at the corner of Iowa Avenue West and Parker Avenue. For more information on the meeting or the club call 641-750-2862, email [email protected] or follow the club on Facebook.

Miss Sadie got her very first groom today! She is a 15 week old Maltipoo, and the tiniest dog we have ever groomed!
Puppies can go to the groomer, or come to class, at 8 weeks old with their first set of distemper/parvo vaccines. The earlier you start training, the lower the chances are of puppies learning unwanted habits!
