One of our volunteers recently took Willow (A1018761) out for a fun-filled field trip to Rodeo Beach in Marin! 🏞️🐕 Willow had a blast hiking the trails, enjoying the fresh air, and exploring all the new sights and smells. You can volunteer to take an adoptable dog on an adventure too – it’s a great way to make a difference while they wait for their forever homes.
Here’s what the volunteer had to say about her day with Willow: "Great field trip day with Willow. She’s such a sweetheart. Really easy to walk. Tons of people and dogs out, and she was polite and social the whole time. She definitely did NOT want to get her feet wet in the ocean. 🤣 Loves sticking her head out the window in the car ride. Super affectionate. Let’s find this girlie a home. 💕🐾"

Did you know that licensing your pet is more than just a STATE requirement? It's a key step in ensuring their safety and well-being! Here’s why it’s so important:
1️⃣ Quick Return Home: If your pet gets lost, a license helps shelters and animal control officers reunite you faster.
2️⃣ Supports Animal Services: Your license fees fund local shelters and services that help lost and homeless pets.
3️⃣ Proof of Rabies Vaccination: Licensing shows that your pet is up-to-date on their rabies shots, helping protect the community.
4️⃣ It’s the Law: Licensing your pet is a simple, essential way to comply with local laws and avoid penalties.

Introducing 4-year-old Michelle (A1021594)! This sweet pup had an exciting Doggy Day Out with a volunteer, filled with smiles and wagging tails: "Michelle is the absolute life of the party! Let me list the many ways she is awesome! Michelle knows her tricks and she is super good at sit! She would absolutely love to learn more tricks from you. She walks well on leash and she would make the best walking buddy. Michelle would love to receive all of your yummy treats! She is not picky and she will even take them ever so gently from your hand. She saw some doggies walking nearby and only showed curiosity. Michelle would watch them walk nearby, and she only wagged her tail. Michelle would much rather receive your lovings than waste her time with toys. She would see the stuffy toys nearby and she would only sniff them with curiosity."
