More updates! ✨ Today, our founders got together and made a lot of progress. We’ve done all of the paperwork required to become a real and true nonprofit. Stay tuned for more updates, they’ll be coming a lot quicker and more often. Thank you to our community.

Good afternoon y'all!
We know we've been pretty silent since our last fundraiser and our ask for donations. The holidays have hit everyone hard, and on top of that, flu season! We want to thank our community for the overwhelming support and give a few updates.
Since our fundraiser, we have been doing research on what it means to run a nonprofit, and how to do so. With that comes our next step: applying for our status as a nonprofit. It hasn't been easy, but we're making progress.
We also have been made aware of the hardships our neighbors in West Virginia are facing, and plan to help in any way we can. Thank you again for the love and support. Our community is our biggest supporter and we couldn't make strides without y'all.

Our fundraiser with BluTattoo Studio was amazing! We never could have imagined the support everyone showed for us and our mission.
Thanks to our community, we raised more than our goal! These donations will be put toward helping the people and animals affected by Hurricane Helene during the long winter months. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for showing up for those in need, and helping us make a difference. We couldn't do it without your help.

This is why we do what we do! To help people and animals in areas affected by natural disasters. Come by BluTattoo Studio to learn more and possibly win yourself a raffle basket!

Twelve. Hundred. Animals —— 7 weeks.

Twelve hundred animals have been rescued from illness or injury because of Brother Wolf in the last 7 weeks.

We have never felt closer to our community. We have shared stories, laughed together, held each other as we cried. Helped each other.

How has it been 7 weeks? The days are going by fast, and we haven’t stopped. It has been challenging, heartbreaking, and soul-filling at the same time. Having a place to put our energy, a way to put our grief and pain into something bigger, has been a gift in the darkest of days.

Rebuilding Brother Wolf’s shelter will be a long path to walk. We understand that, but we don’t have to rebuild the part of Brother Wolf that makes us who we are - because that lives in every person who deeply loves animals, who deeply loves their neighbors and who supports the work we are lucky to do each and every day.

NOVEMBER 16th we are doing a fundraiser cohosted by BluTattoo Studio ! Come out for a fund day of camaraderie, fresh ink, and amazing vibes! The goal is to raise as much money as possible to continue to make a difference in our beloved Appalachia! So come out in force and help us achieve this, so we can continue to benefit our neighbors ! All proceeds will be going to getting our non profit Hope for Hounds & Humanity, off the ground and slowly running in the right direction! Our vision as a non profit is to help the people and animals in immediate need to recover and rebuild after natural or man made disasters take place! Dakota is an experienced animal care professional with nine years of hands-on expertise in boarding, daycare, grooming, rescue, veterinary medicine, and serves as our Program Manager of Animal Affairs. Dakota actively collaborates with local rescues to secure vital resources for animals in need. In her downtime, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her beloved pack of rescue animals. Her passion for helping pets flourished through fostering, where she discovered her dedication to supporting animals facing health or housing challenges, as well as providing socialization opportunities. Driven by a strong desire to assist animals impacted by natural disasters, Dakota's ultimate goal is to address medical and housing needs while also providing essential support to pets in her community.

With a background that spans veterinary science and business management, Megan brings a rare blend of compassion and strategic expertise to her role, making a tangible difference in every project she takes on.
Beyond her nonprofit work, Megan is dedicated to homeschooling her children and co-managing an automotive business alongside her husband, Orben. She seamlessly balances family life and community service, always driven by a commitment to helping others and making a meaningful impact.

Julianna is committed to enhancing the lives of her rescued pets as well as the lives of other animals in need.
