REBEL UPDATE: Rebel has been with us for several months now and has turned 18 in the time he has been with us. He recently helped out at the Halloween Party fundraiser for our sister rescue, Animal Haven. He wore a costume and loved meeting everyone although his favorite hobbies are still napping on the couch & getting treats. He’s such a loving, gentle soul and he fell in love with one of the kids that came that day and as you can see the feeling was mutual. I have done rescue for so many years and while I love every beautiful soul that comes thru our doors, my passion is helping the old souls enjoy having their own family, home & all of the cuddles they want as they prepare to cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Snickers

Snickers is a playful kitten who has lots of energy to play with his siblings. This boy also enjoys a good cuddle in between play sessions. Snickers is looking for his forever home!

We are having a Halloween party at Dragon Lanes on Sunday, October 20th from 1:30-5:30. We will have safe trick or treating, cider& donuts, friendship bracelet station, face painting station, lots of games, bake sale & craft tables, even our kitties will be in costume and you will be able to take pictures with some of them. Vern, the facility dog from Dr Himler’s old dental office, is coming out of retirement and will be in costume for pics and cuddles as well as Rebel, one of the hospice dogs from our sister rescue, Nikki & Nigel’s Hospice Rescue. Your kiddos are encouraged to dress up as well as bringing something to put their trick or treat goodies in. Admission is $10 per family and we take cash or credit cards. There will be an additional costs of $1 for bracelets, face painting, etc as well as a $5 charge for Halloween pictures. Bake sale and craft table also separate. Please join us for an afternoon of good old fashioned family fun. Every penny raised goes right back to our mission of saving every furbaby we possibly can, so not only will you have fun, kiddos will have a blast with games and trick or treating, and you will also help all of the babies placed in our care. Donations are also happily accepted. SEE YOU THERE!!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Steve & Becky Babjak for their monetary gift to us in memory of Sweet Ellie. Ellie spent the first 3 years of her life on a chain spitting out litter after litter to the subpar human backyard breeder who caused her to lose her back leg due to owner neglect. Ellie came to us right after her amputation surgery and spent the next 7 years as the den mother for all the animals that come thru our crazy life. She loved everyone but losing her back leg just caused too much strain on her remaining legs. Her body may have given up but her heart never did.

We welcomed Sweet Macy into the hospice rescue this afternoon. Macy came to us from Muskingham County where she had a wonderful foster mom who loved her but it was time for Macy to get hospice care. She will stay with us until she lets us know she is ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Macy has soft tumors all over her body, neuro problems, deaf, her sight is almost gone, dental issues and will flinch at times like she is afraid of being hit. If they could only tell us the horrors they have seen in their past but she can’t so instead we will make sure her future is full of cuddles, warm bed, treats and much love. This is what your donations go to. Please if you have a few extra $$ please consider a donation to either us or our sister rescue, Animal Haven. We want to thank one of our supporters, Lori Todich. Lori got ahold of me while I was in the UK and asked if she could have a Pampered Chef fundraiser for us. Needless to say I said yes. Lori got ahold of me this evening to say they made $124.89. This is so very appreciated, we have requests for several dogs to come into the rescue and since we assume all costs for the medical cases we are always in need. Lori is not only one of our biggest supporters but has become a dear friend. THANKS AGAIN LORI!❤️
