Big one in my garage. Was on my garage door pad. Prob saw me putting the blue bottle flies from hatch containers to individual cups so I left a treat. Just wants to live their life.

Wanna hear a cool fact about jumping spiders? The term gravid as we know only means full of eggs. A female does not fertilize the eggs if mated, with s***m until she’s actively laying them. Cool huh!

I’ve been getting quite a few comments on how my spiders don’t get lost handling.
My spiders are all captive br3d that I ad0pt out, br3d by me. 95% of my feed is my spiders i br3d.
First there’s a major difference in a wild vs captive jumper. Secondly, I begin handling all my spiders from a very young age. It’s a big part of the reason I’m often chosen as a customers br33der that is looking to handle their jumper.
Not all br33ders handle their jumpers. It’s evident within the first 15 seconds a spider arrives if they have or haven’t been handled.

Although a ton of my time goes into getting my babies used to human skin as it feels icky to them
Initially, my fees do not include the many hours I put into handling, although they should. Producing moms can lay up to 1k eggs over a series of clutches. Multiply by several moms divided by your time misting and feeding. Wouldn’t have enough hours in the day to handle. Females only need to mate once. They store s***m.
Why I’m a small scale br33der. It’s not possible to handle as I do with several mamas and socialized spiders is the foundation of my biz.
Think of a captive br3d jumper that is in fact handled sorta as a domesticated jumper. Sorta.
