πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ ATTENTION πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Ok guys!

We are making some changes around here!!! So please hang in there.
I am combining my two accounts into one. So my farm page and my dog page will be one and the same. (Not my personal page, just my business ones)
So no more just puppies and dogs. The whole farm!
This will just make business easier for me, and I'll have all my stuff in one place.
So all my connections will be from here, chats, posts, etc. and I won't have to jump back and forth all day.
So......

Name will be changed to Sweet Breeze Acres

Some posts/reels will be moved over to here as I make the switch. So they will be dated differently. Mostly my reels....

Farm info will start being posted instead of just the dogs.

Tait German shepherds has been running for around 7 years, and sweet Breeze Acres for about 3. So it'll be fun to combine them and make them one big thing.

You'll see posts about German shepherds, Golden retrievers and their pups, sheep, cows, horses, riding, agriculture, homesteading, hay, dirt, and just farm life! Haha!
Enjoy the ride and I thank all of you who have followed my dog account and my farm account. Now we all get to enjoy both together!

Have a wonderful day and I hope you have a fantastic Christmas!

It's happening - we are moving this page over to this one πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

I've gotten a lot of messages on our dry lot! Why and what it looks like!
Well here you go, here's what it looks like, the main reason why we pull everybody off pasture and put them on a dry lot for the winter is so they don't absolutely ruin their pastures in the winter time.
So everyone is in the same lot for a few months eating yummy hay! ❀️

Cozy, fluffy, warm stalls for the babes. The cows are ALWAYS first to inspect the cleaning job and the fresh deep straw. We do our best to keep things clean and warm for all our animals through the winter.
We move everyone into a dry lot for the winter months so they don't trash their pasture. So doing things like making sure we keep mud down and clean stalls is so important now that they are in a smaller area for a few months.
Minerals for animals are in the little feeder on the left.

Love seeing the sheep out the windows of the house. They are the best babies. ❀️Can't wait for April lambs!

When I say that eventually you learn to hate them, so it's really easy to eat them. This is what I mean. This was my morning. Also, they didn't end up following me back into the pasture. Had to chase them with the quad..... Cows are the worst at getting out. I think I'm just going to raise sheep from here on out πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Nothing like a thousand pounds of animal running around loose....

Sad news.
We helped Mabel cross the rainbow bridge tonight.
Her body just couldn't take the cold.
She's had a bad back end (hips and legs) since we got her, she's been getting around fine, and even seemed to be improving! But with this cold weather we immediately brought her into a stall to avoid her getting caught in the rain or cold and not able to get up.
Well, the first two days were pretty normal, but seeming in more pain. Then she wouldn't want to get up when I came to check in on her, but with some encouragement she would.... Then she refused to get up all together the next day..... The cold just hurts. She's just in to much pain to make it through this winter, and it's not fair to her. We gave her one more day and managed her pain, gave her meds and tried all we could to encourage her to feel better in this cold. Nope. She doesn't want to stand on those hurting bones and muscles.
So we did the only thing right. Say goodbye and give her a soft send off.
Farm life isn't all cuddling babies, riding with your hair flowing in the wind, and feeding treats to all the happy faces. Sometimes it's getting up every two hours to nurse a sick animal, bottle feed an orphan, bury a stillborn, call an emergency vet, cry saying goodbye, coming out to see death, seeing pain, nursing injuries, praying over animals and so much more. Farming is hard. It has some of the sweetest joys, but also heartbreaks.
We do our best to give all our animals (future food or pet) the best quality of life they can have. Down to showing them love and compassion in the good time and the bad.
We do all we can to save life, but also know when the animal gives you the go ahead to help them go peacefully.
We will miss little Mabel, we tried our best to give her a chance. There was a reason she was thrown away by her farmer, but we wanted to give her a shot. She was in to much pain and she was ready to be paid to rest.
For all who met her and was rooting for her. Thanks for giving her scratches, apples, and teaching her that people are kind. She had a good last few weeks of life, no more suffering, no more pain. Run free little Mabel.

Little Laney has adjusted fantastic to her eye removal! She has been so much happier and less head shy!
For those who haven't been here with us.... Laney has been blind for 5+ years in her right eye, the last year it has been atrophying. Causing some discomfort and clearly not looking good. So it was time to say goodbye to the useless thing! And look at her now! So lovely and happy! Yeah for Laney!
