I’ve not posted much about but this kid knocked it out of the park tonight! District 8 Cavy Management winner and 2nd Place National Cavy Management winner!! ❤️. Congratulations to Elizabeth but also Austin & Marissa for their 3rd place National Intermediate judging placing! Thanks for showing up for these kids Bryan Shirk!

Chuck is so humbled to have been asked to donate a red Satin to the ASRBA auction at convention this year. This pretty lady is 5 months old and already intermediate weight. She’s entered at convention and we hope she’ll do amazing things both at the show table and for someone’s breeding program.

Auction will take place after the club meeting on Monday, 8 am.

Bit of a different post today - Elizabeth has finished her rabbit centered jewelry for the ARBA national convention youth exhibits. I suggested that she make an extra one in case somebody wanted one if they saw it.

Dad and I think she could charge $30 for the set but she thinks that outrageous for her jewelry art - what do you think? If not, what would you pay for it?

There are 3 red Satins ready to hop! The Junior Buck is entered at Convention - the other two were sold to a young man but hes now not able to take them home. They can come down with us but need a place to stay after Saturday. DM me with any questions.

A litter was born today that has been long awaited. Nikki is a doe that Chuck has done very well with on the table taking best of varieties and best of breeds.

But she’s not given one successful breeding. Chuck had a good talking to her before this match up and explained this is her last chance. She got 4 instead of the normal “3 strikes and out”. And now we have 3 beautiful fat bellied red babies! ❤️

People's jaws drop when they hear of our tiny rabbit program in the barn. For ages, Chuck and Elizabeth shared 21 holes, but now Dad's brought in 2 stackers and Elizabeth's downsized her Cal collection, so the red breeding program's slightly less petite. Fingers crossed these three reds give it a growth spurt!

The white cal patterned American sow had her pups last night. FOUR of them! Mom and all babies are healthy - each weighing roughly 4 ounces a piece. Two boars and two sows. 🤍🖤

Early, quiet Sunday morning with a new pet sitting client’s pups, Maddy and Brooke. They are such sweethearts ❤️ and Tails of Triumph cannot wait to have them again!

Thanks to Western Michigan Rabbit Breeders for a great show day in Alma, MI.

Chuck had an amazing day with BOSB with Gandalf (his white buck) in show A. In show B, he took BOB with Emily, his red doe and BOSB with Gandalf. Thanks to Drew Bliss and Bryant Miller for recognizing these animals.

Elizabeth didn’t do bad either with a BOSB with her Golden Solid senior sow, Marigold. 🤎 Thanks to judge Kelly Hansen for recognizing her!

Thanks to Blood, Sweat and Tears Rabbit Club for an amazing night show. Elizabeth took Best In Show with her homegrown American cavy (Golden Solid 🤎) and Chuck took Best Opposite Breed with his white Satin Buck. Congratulations to Sandy Doyle for Best of Breed 🤍

Elizabeth and mom are taking bets as to when this beautiful white Cal sow will pop 🎈 and how many pups she’ll have. She had 3 in her last litter so Elizabeth says 3 again. Mom’s thinking 4 because she looks much bigger!

Last night, we anticipated Belle, a ticked solid Satin American, would give birth within the next couple of days. We were surprised to discover newborns this morning, including an unexpected white pup!

Dallas had her pups on Friday night 🥰 A boar and a sow. They’re so incredibly soft as babies!

Now, it’s her Satin sister’s (Belle) turn. Shes huge!!

Just for Fun show this weekend in Coldwater, MI was one for the record books. It was Chuck’s first show winning BOB and BOSB, at the same time, with his Satins!

Eisel’s Poppy (red cal) and Walker’s Sorrel (red) had two adorable red Americans today. A boar and a sow with gorgeous color. Hoping for Cal patterned and that they point out for National Convention 🤞

A lot of fair photos are popping up in my memories and the one on the left came up today. Checking out the turkeys at the Ingham County fair in 2011. WAY before she ever considered raising animals.

Fair exhibit turn in started on Friday. Today was interesting, Elizabeth and Chuck went to the fairgrounds to turn in exhibits (all day long) and Mom went to Michigan Cavy Congress. Tomorrow, animal turn in … it’s a much smaller rabbit show team going but a more diverse species. New this year - turkeys! 🦃

Tails of Triumph started as Elizabeths pet sitting business. We have an amazing puppers at our house right now. Jasper has the most beautiful, expressive eyes. ❤️. He and Monty get along so well.

Miracle of Birth

At 9:15ish, 21 had a beautiful nest made but no babies. At 9:35, we heard squeaks coming from the nestbox while finishing up chores. So amazing to see this happen firsthand! 💗
