lt took Lil Wade (FKA Wade) about a minute to cozy up to his new dad! Anxiously waiting for him at home are his new mom and two canine sisters. A cat is also included in this package deal! Lil Wade will now enjoy having the run of the house, a fenced in yard, and a mom who gives excellent pet massages. Lil Wade hit the jackpot!

This is Chloe. Her parents tell us that she has an innate capacity for the care and concern of animals - so much so that she once gave up making s'mores so that she could go help a stray dog in her neighborhood. Recently, her dad was cleaning the house and he found some note paper that Chloe had used to draw on and to state some important messages. Chloe shared her artwork and messages with one of our staff members. We love your drawings and the important messages, Chloe! You give hope to homeless pets, and you are hope for the younger generation!

PUPDATE:

Boomer was adopted last August, and his owners shared this picture with us. Boomer is one of those dogs that steals your heart faster than the speed of light. Apparently, he also steals his dad's old toys and makes artwork out of them faster than the speed of light. Beautiful work, Boomer!

Feline Update:

Theo (FKA Stripe) was adopted this past December. Born to a feral cat, his chances of the life he now has were slim. That changed when a good Samaritan brought him and his brother to us. Theo now has a loving home - complete with a mom and dad, and a canine sister, aptly named Sweetie. Although, at first, Theo didn't think living with a dog was very cool, he has grown to very much love Sweetie. In fact, cuddling with and playing with her are among Theos' favorite pastimes. Theo is a spunky little guy, and he loves to play with not only his own toys, but Sweetie's toys, too! His quirkiest pastime is playing in the water in the bathroom sink. Mom, dad and Sweetie are happy he has become a part of their family! We're confident that Theo is happy, too!

Penny (FKA Sheila) was adopted from Forty Corners Animal Rescue last July. Since then, Penny's mom and dad adopted Penny's much-loved friend, Smokey. What a gift for Penny! Her best friend is now officially her brother! 🐾💞🐾

Bruno has left the building! He is now in the arms of his new mom! His new family also includes a dad, human siblings, and a canine sister who was all about getting a little brother to play with. Bruno traveled a long way to get to Forty Corners Animal Rescue and ended up exactly where he was meant to be!

Here they are!!! Here's the latest additions to our canine crew! All of these pups are young and all of them are longing to become a spoiled rotten member of a family. So far, only Hollyhock (Holly) and Magnolia (Maggie) have gotten their Petfinder profiles written up and listed. Ambitious little stinkers, they are!

Instead of facing the camera on his adoption day, Champ decided to face his new human siblings so that he could give them the scoop about how life is going to be living with a champ. Tail wagging like it is says it all; Champ is excited to embark on his new beginning! Mom, who is going to be Champ's walking partner, is waiting off to the side ready to give her new boy the loving home that he has always deserved.

Charlie (pictured with his dad and then with his canine brother Meicco) was adopted last summer. Charlie enjoys taking mom, dad and Meicco hiking! He lets mom or dad drive home, though, so that he and Meicco can snooze in the back seat.

PUPDATE:

Scooby was one of the first dogs to arrive at our rescue. He was adopted in January 2021 and has never looked back! He now has what is every dog's birthright - the good life! Shortly after Scooby was adopted, he asked for a little sister. Scooby and his canine sister, Henley, (who was adopted from another rescue) love to spend their days chasing squirrels and then taking a well-deserved nap together.

Lacey (FKA Skye) was adopted this past October and her mom tells us that she is doing great in her new home! In fact, word has it that she has taken over the house. She's also a Velcro kitty and stays close to her mom at all times. ️☺️

Chloe (FKA Nala) noticed that our adopted dogs take the spotlight with updates. Trailblazer that she is, she took it upon herself to demand equal attention. She sent a picture along with this message: Hi! I'm Chloe. You probably remember me as Nala. I was adopted last October and am now living with my human mom and feline brother Milo. Mom says I am a silly happy cat. I am so thankful to you guys for raising me and finding me a home. Head butts and cat kisses to you all.

PUPDATE!!!
Today is Baci's (FKA Sable) Gotcha Day Anniversary! One year ago, this little girl snagged herself a loving family who took the time to let Baci adjust. They also took the time to add some training for her (and themselves) into their schedules. That combination and commitment has allowed Baci to become the star that she was meant to be! Her family has a close bond with her and Baci just doesn't know how they ever lived without her! 😉

Fosters covered for this litter! But it’s puppy season so there will be more!

Immediate need for fosters!!!

We are working with the owner to avoid having so many already sick puppies go to the over crowded shelter!
It was not an abandonment issue.

We have transport arranged to pick up mommas this morning.

Some low life scum abandoned TWENTY-ONE puppies in a foreclosed house.

Not much is known about the puppies, we are arranging for emergency transport now!!

MARCH PET OF THE MONTH
Correction: MARCH PETS OF THE MONTH - GYPSY (black coat) & HONEY!!
Gypsy and Honey, our duo at Forty Corners Animal Rescue in Massillon, OH, would like to remind you that they are still in search of a forever home to call their own. They thought that they had a forever home at one time, but sadly, their previous owners had to go into an assisted living facility. We know it's a tall order to ask that they be adopted out together; however, these two are so loving and low maintenance, that tall order will be easy to fill. Please note, though, that although we prefer Gypsy and Honey go to the same home, we will consider adopting them out separately. We long to find a wonderful new home for these girls, but it's a catch 22; we can't imagine life at the rescue without them. Both of these sweethearts are house-broken, and both are quiet and well behaved. Honey may take a minute to warm up to new people, but in the end, she is more of an attention hog than Gypsy. Gypsy loves her sissy so much that she graciously allows Honey to have her way so that Honey can soak up all the lovin's! When they get into their fun-loving wrestling matches, Honey usually pins Gypsy for the win! We are pretty sure Gypsy is allowing that to happen, too. 😉 Both girls are a little chubby, so it would be nice if their new family would help them get their girlish figure back!

Rex (FKA Koda) hit the jackpot! His new mom and dad are experienced with transitioning dogs into a new home. Rex now also has a young human brother to grow up with, a large fenced in yard to run free in, and someone home with him the majority of the time! This is all a far cry from his past; his previous owners had decided that he got too big to be kept inside and sentenced him to life outside in a kennel. Sentence overruled!

Reggie snagged the family of his dreams! When he saw his new mom arrive with three kids in tow he acted as if they were his long-lost human siblings that he had been longing to see again. Our staff had always found it difficult to tire Reggie out, but these active, dog loving kids will have that in the bag!

Vinny (FKA Venom) was our school yard bully towards the other cats at the rescue, and while it appears that we sent him to the principal's office for a time out, what you are really seeing is Vinny at work with his adoptive mom! Never known as the sweetest little guy at the rescue, Vinny has done a 180 in his new home/work environment. He may not ever fulfill his work duty as a mouser, but he stepped right in and made a title for himself: Resident Lovebug!

Andrea Cisternino runs an animal sanctuary in Kyiv, Ukraine. He decided to stay instead of leaving his 400 animals alone in this war. Andrea says he will rather die than abandon his animals. Please keep Andrea and his animals in your prayers. 🙏🙏🙏

Frodo didn't miss a beat initiating a play session when his new mom and dad arrived to adopt him. He played tug of war with his dad like they were old friends! Good thing Frodo feels that way about his new dad because they are going to be spending a lot of time together - dad works from home. Frodo's new mom, who has never had a dog before, will get to experience the classic and universally loved greeting that dogs give their owners when they return home from work!

Oscar got an Oscar for being such an adorable and sweet little cuddle bug (no acting required)! Oscar's idea of an Oscar is not a mere trophy; it's a new home, complete with a sidekick (his new mom), a grandma and an entire extended family of pet lovers that he'll be visiting on the regular. Oscar got an Oscar, and his new family got their Oscar, too! Win-win!!
