We’ve had little Brownie for about 14 months now. Her hooves were in terrible shape when we got her. It’s taken a lot of time and patience by our farrier, but they’re looking so much better. I’m sure she’s feeling better too!

Farrier Day (again!). He comes every month and does half the herd each time. About $500/month for trims. Ritner Browning is excellent- he is very patient with the horses that have arthritis or other painful joint conditions. 💜🧡💜

Miss Murphy (blind mini) is rooting around in her feeder looking for carrots. She loves when we put treats in her food. (She’s having some senior feed with a side of alfalfa). 🧡💜🧡

It’s the beginning of fly season. We try to keep fly masks on everyone, but they don’t always keep them on. Fly masks help keep flies off the horses’ eye area. The horses can see out of them.
If anyone is interested, here is our Amazon wish list (but we’ll take fly masks from anywhere). Mini size up to draft size.

Festus the Pony gets supplements twice/day. The minis hover around him waiting for the crumbs. That’s Diamond in the background. So cute.

It’s a good thing the minis (and Festus) are so cute. I failed to properly latch the gate, and voila, they’re out. Alas, their adventure was only for a few minutes.
