Happy New Year to all of our furry friends and their humans! Our office will be closed New Year’s Day January 1, 2025 and will reopen January 2, 2025 for normal business hours at 7:30am. If you have an animal emergency, please contact our office and listen to the phone prompts for instructions.

We are happy to announce we are partnering with Lafayette High School Future Business Leaders of America Student Chapter to accept Book Donations for the residents and children of Steinhatchee, FL who lost many library books due to damage from Hurricane Helene. We will be accepting book donations at our office as a drop off place if anyone would like to donate to this cause. Please see graphic below for details.

We would like to give a huge thank you to our nephew Garett Knight who helped us clear trees and sons HJ & GJ. Also, a shout out to Josue Diaz for patching our roof and the Levi Vann family for giving us tin patch pieces for our roof. Thankful to live in a community that helps one another. Mayo Town & Country Animal Hospital is open today for normal business hours 7:30am-5:30pm and providing full animal veterinary services today. We are on regular power and no generator now. It’s been a long 24 hours watching and praying as Hurricane Helene came ashore. We watched on surveillance video last night as trees were falling during the eye wall approaching land over our clinic. We were also monitoring our animal boarders and hospital patients by video as well. We thank God he heard our prayers and provided protection to life. Material things can be replaced. Our hospital took some damage but we are grateful. A very special thank you to Jerry Mercer for quickly helping us shut the broken water pump off at daylight and Andy Pridgeon for getting to us asap and removing a fallen tree off our roof which was pinned against our gas tank which runs our hospital generator. We are thankful only a small puncture area was found in the roof. We will continue with cleanup in the following weeks as we have more trees and debris to clean. Our goal is to be open on Monday at 7:30am to resume normal business hours with full veterinary services. If you have an emergency please call 386-294-5000 and you will be directed to a staff member to guide you with appropriate instructions how to receive services. Thank you to all of our clients and your furry loved ones for allowing us to continue to provide you with veterinary care. Our prayers go out to all who have endured and experienced loss.
