Other days can be so tragically heavy 😞
Sometimes, we anticipate a routine visit, thinking we'll send the patient on their way with a cheerful, "See you next time, Fluffy!" But instead, end up delivering heartbreaking news to unsuspecting pet parents. 💔Being the bearers of bad news leaves a lasting impression on our hearts as we share in the sorrow and grief of the families whose pets we care for.💜

In a strangely cruel, yet beautiful, irony, some of those heavy days happen to be accompanied by pretty pink skies....

It's never a dull moment when taking care of furbabies 🤕💗
Luckily for Miss Penny, along with being a vet tech, all of us here at The Premier Pet Nurse are familiar with Pet First Aid! 🩹 So when her fractured nail (that was just treated by her vet) decided to bleed from the excitement of picking her up for vacation 🏖,
We sprang right into action and bandaged her up! Miss Penny was a little nervous at first, but with some patience and words of encouragement, she was the perfect puppy patient! 🤗🥰
And yes, for those wondering, the purple heart 💜 on the bandage helps to "promote healing" 😉🤭🥰

💖***IN MEMORY OF "ANDY"***💖 Our little "Andy," lovingly called "Andito," gained his wings this week. 💙 He was a special needs foster kitty in our home for the last 2.5yrs, and in that short time, touched our lives forever.💙 I wanted to share his story on here as a reminder to never give up even when it seems like all hope may be lost. "Andito" taught us that every little life is precious even if their time with us is not as long as we would like it to be. 😞 As our first official foster kitty, he showed us how rewarding it can be to open up your home to a pet in need.💛 "Andito" suffered a traumatic brain injury as a very young kitten and was in a critical state. Despite the recommendation to humanely euthanize, his rescue organization was determined to give this little guy a chance at life. "Andito" was hospitalized for months while the veterinary staff worked diligently to help save this sweet boy. It was determined that he would have life long complications from his injury. Undeterred by this, his rescue was adamant they would give him a chance at a life in a loving home. 😇This kitty was visually impaired, had neurologic symptoms, and would have ongoing trouble regulating his electrolytes and his body temperature. He would end up needing to be on several medications every day in order to survive. 🤕 We were approached about fostering this sweet boy and we of course said "YES!" ❤ "Andito" had such a HUGE personality--all 7lbs of him was pure spunk! Lol He got along and loved everyone he ever met--human AND animal. He came running like a dog whenever you called his name. He fit in perfectly with all the critters in our mini-zoo ❤🤗 He also demanded to be the center of attention at all times 😂 His favorite thing in the world was chasing after those crinkly foil cat toys🤣 His second favorite thing in the world, was being held in your arms and cuddled--oh my goodness could this kitten PURR up a storm!!😍 Our silly little boy was such a trooper through his daily med
