New horse presented with severely dropped soles and underrun heels-overall collapsed hooves. Did some hoof casting over a backwards shoe with hand drawn heel clips. Hoping to see some downward growth in the next 5 weeks.
Second photo was provided to show how this horse typically looks 2-3 weeks into a cycle and helped us determine the best approach for him.

Finally finding the time to post some recent work!
Here’s a new client’s horse we worked on the other day. Pulled back a lot of extra toe and under-run heels then finished with a wedge, set back to increase break over and improve his broken back hoof-pastern axis, getting the excess weight off his heels, alleviating some discomfort he was experiencing in the navicular region, as well as minimizing the extra torque on the rest of his bone column during delayed break over from long toe low heel.
